If Armstrong were a boxer, he would have won the heavyweight championship and never let it go, because those were some crushing blows he landed against Sloth. Damn.

I'm still not quite certain what to think about Angel Beats! yet. Much of it is coming off like satire of Key-type stories (Air, Kanon, Clannad); Hinata's story is kind of sad, but it's also completely absurd, if you think about it -- he muffs a game-winning catch, gets depressed, turns to drugs and (presumably) dies of an overdose?? That is over-the-top, even for Jun Maeda.

On the other hand, hints of a more serious story are everywhere, and I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop -- nobody has a clear handle on what type of world this is yet, and notably we have not been privy to exactly how any of the characters has died yet. We can infer from their stories, but unless we see it for ourselves, there's no way to know what we've been shown so far is the truth.

Durarara!! is a winner, yeah. Hope you enjoy it!
