I chased Auron down all throughout downtown and nearly lost him in the crowd getting on the train. Finally I managed to catch up with him. The ass was already sittign down quite content in his seat reading the paper. I sat with a huff and panted waiting for him to look. He didn't. He was ignoring me as he usually did. So I grabbed his paper and slammed it on the table and glared at him when his eye's met mine.
" So what's the big deal leaving me behind?! " I half shouted at him. I really
was annoyed I hate it when does that.
He rolled his eyes, instinctively rubbing his temple again as he looked away. " Keep your volume down, or have you forgotten you are now on a 'public' train...it's common courtesy. " He lectured. Another lecture, which was another thing I hated about him. " I 'left you behind' as you so put it, because I felt there was no great duty for you to perform during this meeting. I am simply to receive our orders...that is all. "
" I don't give a damn if that's all... I'm part of this team too last time I checked. " I refuted... I was still half shouting. I sat back with an annoyed look though Auron probably saw it as stubborn and a rather pouty expression. " I said I'm going... so I'm going. And I don't care if you'll beat me up over it later or not, and that's that! "
" Oh really now? " He stated firmly, a sadistic look in his eyes. Then smiling he resigned himself to my decision and picked up his morning paper once more. He licked his finger and opened the page up to where he'd been, then mumbled, " If I'm going to exact punishment of any type upon you, it won't be for this little stunt. Hear me Dante, I will not forget about your little 'heist' so quickly. Look forward to THAT, will you? " I swallowed hard and tried to ignore him by putting on my headphones and blasting my music for the remainder of the trip.

We stepped off the speed train, hardly having the time to stretch. That was a pain I usually like to shake the sleep from my body when I'm stuck on a damn train for almost a year. Auron had an arranged car waiting in front of the station, and we jumped in without delay. He always planned ahead like that. It drives nuts the way everything has to be so perfect with him. We arrived at the hotel he'd set up reservations with, and he had them change the room from a single to a double. Normally they didn't accept such short notice changes, but just a bit of hi 'sweet-talking' and there wasn't a problem in the world. Just a bunch of pushovers really. I wouldn't fall for that but that's probably because I'm his brother. They carried our luggage and escorted us to the room with nothing but the utmost respect and courtesy. That sickened me. I like giving hell to some smartass employee. Auron smiled at the young woman who showed us the benefits of our quarters, never averting his eyes from hers. He probably assumed I was following suit, but really I was checking out that killer body. She nearly ran out of the room a bright red hue. I chuckled to myself for the moment.
Grabbing the suitcase he'd packed, he tossed it on the bed, pulled out a suit and threw it at me. " Wear that and clean yourself up. You should at least be 'presentable'. I doubt we can accomplish that in your current attire... " He said looking me over once again. He acts like I just pulled these clothes from the dumpster. I was wearing what I usually wear when I'm not at the office. My jean jacket and a pair of blue jeans. Yeah sure my jacket's alittle worn but I've had the thing for years. Kiamari, well Sk I guess it would be now, was actually the one who helpped me pay for the thing. I looked back at Auron who was already looking at the clock before he added " And do hurry will you? We haven't the time for any nonsense. "
" Yeah... yeah... " I mumbled and walked into the bathroom. Knowing not to try his patience at a time like this, I was out in a matter of moments, completely cleaned up and ready to go. He had run a brush through his hair, putting it up as he often did. " You satisfied now? " I commented as I grabbed my sunglasses and struck a bit of a pose though I ment it to be alittle insulting of course.
" I suppose I am. " He recoiled, grabbing his hat and sunglasses as well. Grabbing our coats on the way out, we left the room, returning to the car awaiting us. Jumping in we arrived at Interpol headquarters in less than five minutes time. Another annoyence. I was hopeing to relax alittle before we got in the building.
As we made our way inside, Auron went over a couple key things with me. He didn't want too much said inside. Truth is he probably didn't want me to speak at all. I tend to screw things up for him when I speak my mind but hey I gotta get my piece in there. I had screwed him over on another case he was particularily interested in a few years back. Man was he pissed. I think I had bruises all over me for a week. We sat in the waiting area until apparently the opening drivel was taken care of, and they were ready to talk business. I yawned to slightly behind Auron then backed up abit hopeing he hadn't heared.
" ...The Detective team known as the Kazuma Brothers. Although, some may have heard them referred to as DA. " The dull man behind the podium announced as we entered. Standing before the room of filled seats, a murmur seemed to run through them all. Many of them seemed displeased that we'd been called in. " They have both been summoned here to- "
Smiling slightly as the man began, Auron decided to interject and speak for himself. " To accept the KIRA case. " They all fell silent at that name. " That's right, I said it. The recent events seem to demand KIRA has returned... and while there may be a chance this is merely a copy cat... we can't take that risk. We must mobilize to meet this new enemy before they gather too many followers. Isn't that what you are all thinking? "
" Auron Kazuma, I assume. " An older British man announced from the front of the rows. " You're arrogance proceeds you I see. We are not yet sure if this is truly a KIRA incident or not, I'd have you abstain from any such assumptions. Or have you forgotten not to believe everything you read in the paper or see on the telly? "
He smirked. " Well of course I hadn't forgotten that. After all, you should know half of the things reported are false. But of course you do! After all, you orchestrate fabrication yourself...do you not? "
" Such Disrespect! " The man shouted standing instantly in his seat. " And just what are you insinuating Auron?! "
I chuckled alittle before interupting. " What? It's the truth isn't it? " I had to laugh. What was it with cops that made them lie through their teeth like this. " There ain't a cop in this room that's gonna deny it... come on... you aren't all exactly the most HONEST when it comes to the press. You tell the public what they need to know... and that's that. Isn't that right? " Everyone was quiet again. " There's no need to get huffy, this IS supposed to be a meeting right? And FYI man... I would refrain myself from referring to my brother in such a familiar way. You may end up regretting it. " Now I was speaking from experience. That and who the hell was he to talk to my brother like that? The only one even REMOTELY aloud to talk to him like that was me. Auron looked at me for a moment in slight surprise... But really it's just how I am so he really wasn't all that shocked. I looked back at him and he nodded, then continued.
" We are willing to take on the task of finding this new 'KIRA', which as you should all know...may very mean risking our lives. Can any of you say the same? " He stated, stopping only to await their response. " Honestly! If any here are willing to do this, I wish you only the best! "
The Dull Man was called over to who appeared to be "the Man in Charge". He whispered in his ear, and then the Dull Man returned to the podium. " There shall be a vote to determine the outcome. As you all very well know, The Kazuma Brothers are recognized throughout the world for their amazing feats of brilliance. They have been compared to the likes of L and Eraldo Coil, thus Sir Gregory does not believe you should all take them so lightly. We have summoned them...not to ORDER them on this case...but to BEG them for their cooperative assistance. For only through wit, and quick countermeasures can we hope to be victorious against this new threat. The vote shall now commence, all in favor? " He waited as nearly every person in the room said "I". " And all Opposed? " There was silence. The British man glared at me, yet he kept his silence. " Very well, by overwhelming consensus, The Kazuma Brothers shall be given this case. " By this time I had grown bored with it all so I started looknig around lost in my thoughts.
" I humbly accept. " Auron aswell as everyone else looked over at me... I looked at Auron and quickly tried to establish my standpoint. " Oh... uh... yeah me too- " Noticing the glare Auron flashed I quickly had to reword my sentence, " --uh... I mean... As Do I. "
We were given the details about our case from every agency present... Well really it was Auron paying attention I wasn't REALLY listening I mean if I wanted to know anything I would be lectured on it later by Auron. So I waited for him to finish up then we left and headed back to the hotel. I could only assume now that we were going to start planning out trip. I threw myself down on one of the beds and sighed.
" So we got the case bro hope you're happy. " I could tell by his silence that I was in trouble

Hello there everyone!! AS you guessed this is NOT part of the Fiction...but a NOTICE! *dramatic music starts*
So I noticed that I may have told many ppl individually...but I don't think I ever put up an official notice on this matter. The Matter of the past anime/manga conclusion, as well as the characters of the series.
I do NOT want any of the past investigators working on this case. That would be very unfair, not just on Kira's part...but in the fact that since they have past experience, they would automatically outrank all of the current investigators in the fray.
I DO NOT WANT THAT!
Each of the Anti-Kira members have worked hard on their characters. I want them to be Original, and to be able to stand firm in their own right and by their own wit. This is why I have forbidden Near into this game. I don't mind if ppl get tips from him...had been trained by him...or heck, even had a relationship with him. But Near is NOT to step foot in Japan on this investigation. He isn't even supposed to gain any of the details to offer his two cents on. This goes for anyone else who'd worked on the (Light Yagami) Kira case as well.
My reasoning is simple:
1) It's ten years later
2) There is conflict over who would play their roles
3) There would be major favoritism towards the characters
4) It would deprive the story of originality
I have no problem with ppl:
- Witnessing things from the past (AS LONG AS THEY DIDN'T INFLUENCE THEM)
- Being a relation to someone from the past
- Getting research material formerly gathered, or tips from investigators. This includes using past strategies too.
-THAT IS ALL FINE AND COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE-
As for the story. I am hoping to stay as close to the original Manga/Anime end as possible. The reason for this is simple as well. EVERYONE knows this end...therefore they are all able to follow it together. If we all had different endings, or ideas of what should've happened...then we would all be heading in different directions and be totally lost. lol. Since this is a GROUP effort...it's good that we all are on the same page...right? ((After all, if I had my way, Kira would've survived...so you see...that would throw EVERYTHING off! LOL))

I think that's pretty much it. I just wanna say GREAT WORK EVERYONE! I have seen some very unique and creative characters and I want to do ALL THAT I CAN to preserve their originality.
