Yes! This is a Death Note RP! Really, I just want everyone to have fun playing around with what they'd do in certain situations! But so you know, there will be no Original Death Note Characters. I want each person to have their OWN CREATIONS and build them up themselves.

You can join a couple different factions as follows.

Duties

KIRA Supporters-Must eliminate targeted criminals and threats without leaving traces of evidence. Become familiar with Leaders and show their support for KIRA's actions. (NO KILLING INNOCENTS!)

Anti-Kira task force-Open up case files and investigate any connections between old and current murders. Must try to build a case against the new Kira...investigate any strange murders pertaining to the Kira case.

Police/Detectives-Choose whether to side with Kira or not. Can be some dirty cops...those who destroy evidence from within the system!

F.B.I.-A separate division, investigates in secret.

Normal People-Offer Kira or police support through encouraging messages. Also can tip off either the police, or Kira...

Reporters/Newcastors-Find your stories and let the people of the world know the truth! Take bribes or not...help KIRA or the police...you decide!

Hello there everyone!! AS you guessed this is NOT part of the Fiction...but a NOTICE! *dramatic music starts*

So I noticed that I may have told many ppl individually...but I don't think I ever put up an official notice on this matter. The Matter of the past anime/manga conclusion, as well as the characters of the series.

I do NOT want any of the past investigators working on this case. That would be very unfair, not just on Kira's part...but in the fact that since they have past experience, they would automatically outrank all of the current investigators in the fray.

I DO NOT WANT THAT!

Each of the Anti-Kira members have worked hard on their characters. I want them to be Original, and to be able to stand firm in their own right and by their own wit. This is why I have forbidden Near into this game. I don't mind if ppl get tips from him...had been trained by him...or heck, even had a relationship with him. But Near is NOT to step foot in Japan on this investigation. He isn't even supposed to gain any of the details to offer his two cents on. This goes for anyone else who'd worked on the (Light Yagami) Kira case as well.

My reasoning is simple:
1) It's ten years later
2) There is conflict over who would play their roles
3) There would be major favoritism towards the characters
4) It would deprive the story of originality

I have no problem with ppl:
- Witnessing things from the past (AS LONG AS THEY DIDN'T INFLUENCE THEM)
- Being a relation to someone from the past
- Getting research material formerly gathered, or tips from investigators. This includes using past strategies too.
-THAT IS ALL FINE AND COMPLETELY ACCEPTABLE-

As for the story. I am hoping to stay as close to the original Manga/Anime end as possible. The reason for this is simple as well. EVERYONE knows this end...therefore they are all able to follow it together. If we all had different endings, or ideas of what should've happened...then we would all be heading in different directions and be totally lost. lol. Since this is a GROUP effort...it's good that we all are on the same page...right? ((After all, if I had my way, Kira would've survived...so you see...that would throw EVERYTHING off! LOL))

If any of you have questions about ANYTHING...the rules...or things you would like to include...ANYTHING! PM me or The Bone Snatcher and we'll help ya out. Even if you'd just like to run an idea past us, it's not that hard. ^-^ We're here to help you guys out in anyway you need us.

I think that's pretty much it. I just wanna say GREAT WORK EVERYONE! I have seen some very unique and creative characters and I want to do ALL THAT I CAN to preserve their originality. From the Anti-Kira members to the Sakura TV hosts, and from the CLOSET to the Scizophrenic Kira supporters! And of course My 2nd Kira! Really, Great job! I hope you all continue to have a good time posting here!

Alright, so I've been trying to work out the timeline for this RP. Hehe. See, Death Note was set a little ahead of our time, so that is what was most confusing. BUT I finally found the exact date Light Died.

January 28, 2013. <- Therefore, the reign of KIRA ended this day.

Off of this information, I'm setting the date at about mid-January. And remember, it's about a decade after! ^^ Just because I like the sound of it, I'll make it the 15th. So then, as of today, the current date is:

January 15, 2023

Does this sound alright to everyone?? Now you can work out your birth-years by tracking back from that date. XDD

ALSO! Since I have all your attention, I would also like to address one more question I had. The Death Note is a Supernatural book correct? Therefore...does it run out of pages??? I was thinking no...but I wanted to get all of your opinions on the matter first. ^^ The question hit me when I read one of the comics I posted. hehe.

btw...there is NO sort of ORDER when posting here. You may post when you like. ^^ As long as you don't post like...10 times simultaneously! rofl. Just thought you should know.
