It's been nearly a decade since KIRA nearly controlled the entire world. His influence has all but faded, except for in the memories of his most devout followers. Some who remember his reign and wish it'd come to pass...

Yet there are still those who wish to never see that happen again as well...

Yes! This is a Death Note RP! Really, I just want everyone to have fun playing around with what they'd do in certain situations! But so you know, there will be no Original Death Note Characters. I want each person to have their OWN CREATIONS and build them up themselves.

Duties

KIRA Supporters-Must eliminate targeted criminals and threats without leaving traces of evidence. Become familiar with Leaders and show their support for KIRA's actions. (NO KILLING INNOCENTS!)

Anti-Kira task force-Open up case files and investigate any connections between old and current murders. Must try to build a case against the new Kira...investigate any strange murders pertaining to the Kira case.

Police/Detectives-Choose whether to side with Kira or not. Can be some dirty cops...those who destroy evidence from within the system!

F.B.I.-A separate division, investigates in secret.

Normal People-Offer Kira or police support through encouraging messages. Also can tip off either the police, or Kira...

Reporters/Newcastors-Find your stories and let the people of the world know the truth! Take bribes or not...help KIRA or the police...you decide!

Chessy: When in doubt, Google it

As usual, whenever I had a hunch about something happening in my area of operation--something more than likely about to fall down around my ears, I turned to Google for my primary source of information. I logged into my G-mail account ([email protected], of course) and scrolled through my news area. Nothing seemed unusual. Then, I checked my various spam, advertisements, and junk mail before closing down and logging off my account. Then, I used an old, cliched, and very effective trick I had learned years before. I went to Google's home page and clicked on the search bar. I typed in the date as well as Tokyo, Japan. Immediately, everything from newspapers to major magazine publications popped up an excessive amount of news pouring in from Japan, even by metropolitan standards. Something smelled fishy in Denmark, all right. Of that much, I was sure. After finding nothing but an unusual amount of murders and suicides that had occurred just today (and it wasn't even rush hour yet), I decided to use another, less reliable venue. Tabloids. Hey, it works...don't knock it.
Immediately, articles about the alleged return of Kira started popping up left and right. Kira??
But Kira is dead--right??
Immediately, my investigative instincts started kicking in. I pulled up the FBI's report on the Kira Crimes via a proxy site and compared Kira's assorted M.O. with the Second Kira's and then with the crimes being reported now.
Interesting...the M.O. was the same, but there was something different about this Kira versus the Kiras previous....allegedly one Light Yagami and one Misa Amane, according to the dossiers....intriguing....
This demanded some looking into. After all, Kira was worth it.

molesters and rapists and is often used on infiltration missions, due to
her natural inclinations toward camouflage and stealth. She is a natural
at blending into her surroundings and is a master of Kenpo, a form of
martial arts known among amateurs as "prison fighting." She is a Kira
supporter, who seems to be noncommittal about the issue with both her
superiors and affiliates, which, given her line of work, is not so
surprising. Preferring to use mental torture over corporeal pain, she
works the minds of her opponents into an uneasy state of mind within
moments when she wishes. She wishes to celebrate the anniversary of
Kira's demise with a quiet night of contemplation at home while reviewing
the case.
