It's not your fault, man. I know how that is. Jobs just don't appear and where there is an opening somewhere, there's a lot of people vying for that job. I think parents universally think it should be easy to get a job. I know I've gone back and forth with mine about it. =/
Dude, don't let people/life get ya' down, man. For peps who wanna talk crooked to ya'(even if it's ya' moms) show 'em what your made off and prove 'em wrong. Make 'em eat a nice and fat humble pie. A real big one.

Yeah, I sometimes wish that things also magically happen for me, too.
It would be nice to be able to take a breather and have a nice walk. Taking yourself away from what gives you stress could help.
