What's interesting about this, is Darren is right. Chat has been a bit interesting the last few weeks. I pulled the plug on one of our current problems recently.

Since I tend to get most of the reports, I've noticed that once certain influences are removed from the picture, things tend to settle right back down.

Anyway, I'm not worried about it. It can be frustrating to have misunderstandings crop up, but at the same time I'm glad I work with people who can try to see past that and work it out.

You guys make it easier for me by being mature enough to go okay, this is being dragged out too much, lets move on. But then I think that's part of what makes all of you good staff members too. ^_^

If you've seen the logs then you understand. I'm only sorry I snipped at you without warning since no one can predict when a joke will go a little too far.

Anyway, I've noticed that the past few weeks with name calling and other stuff, chat has been a bit on the odd side so hopefully things will settle back down.

Beth sent me the logs and it's really a shame what people had to go through when what should have been an inside joke at the OB.

Inside jokes should remain just that.

I think the real problem is people just don’t want to believe that it was more than normal joking and ribbing. And I'm not saying your saying this btw, I'm just saying that it was so different from what we normally see that even we were surprised.

The problem is that once I hand something over to Beth or anyone else, I don’t turn around and post the logs since it’s no longer in my hands at that point. That and I’d have to remove names since I don’t want people to be targeted when they thought they were being part of an inside joke.

I guess I’m also surprised that a few people were under the impression that any of us would be that annoyed over nothing. Most of us have been around long enough that I thought people had faith in our ability to judge a situation. Upon reflection, perhaps this time I should have simply posted the chat log. If I had, it would have been obvious as to why anyone would have been annoyed.

Anyway, at this point, I think it has become a dead horse that needs to die, especially since I’m not holding anyone responsible at all. Stupid shit happens online. And bad timing makes stupid shit explode like there’s no tomorrow. I certainly don’t consider this worth arguing over anymore.

So with that said, I’m more than fine to just move on. Oh and if you’re really curious, ask Beth if she’ll let you see the logs. I promise, I’m not kidding when I say the kids totally went to town with it. o_O
