Birthday Celebrations

First of all, thanks all who wrote in my guestbook! Seriously, I love you guys ^^

My birthday was excellent. My parents took me to two different Japanese over the course of the week, and at one the chef cooked right in front of you =w= It was really cool, especially with some of the little tricks he did. That was the first time I had scallops (love them!) and yakitori. The second one had a legitimate chabudai (well, almost - there was a hole, if you wanted to sit normally, but I just crossed my legs), and was the first time I had sashimi (which I actually didn't hate *isn't a big fish fan*). My mom also got my favorite cake and ice cream - carrot cake and mint chocolate chip.

For my actual birthday, I got a Hidan plushie (which I love very much), a 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS (which I wanna keep playing...), as well as a National Geographic book on Japan.

So, that's about it! ^^'

Q&A - Answers!

Here they are, the questions and answers, done in completely randomized order! ^^

Do you have an order (top 5) husbando of different animes/game/manga series?

Hm...

1. Hidan (Naruto Shippuden)
2. Ginko (Mushishi)
3. Jack Spicer (Xiaolin Showdown - he isn't from an anime/game/manga, but he counts, right?)
4. Rock Lee (Naruto/Naruto Shippuden)
5. Dandy (Space☆Dandy)

How does it feel to have so many views?

It's actually really cool to know I have an audience. It's one thing to be posting and have no one view it or comment on it - but with the views, it's amazing to think that people cared about what I had to say 5000+ times.

What do you like about your favorite anime?

What I like about Kuroshitsuji is that it plays on both my fangirl and the part of me who likes simply analyzing things. It plays on my fangirl with the attractive men, the beautiful animation, the music, the fact that has a gothic style and Victorian style, how accurate the Victorian setting is and whatnot. It then is able to be analyzed by deep and complicated character development.

Considering what I read about why you like your husbando, why do you like immortal guys?

Well, in regards to Hidan compared to the rest of the "immortal" characters in Naruto, he's the only one who's truly immortal. The other characters have ways in which they can be killed on the spot, whereas it's nearly impossible to even contain Hidan, let alone kill him.

But immortality in general, I think there's a sort of tragedy to it. The reason people have the desire to live is because they have a reason to live, and that usually includes other people in their life. However, when you're immortal, everyone and everything you know will die before you, and you get to be the one to watch it all decay. And, despite any desires to decay with it, you can't. You can only simply accept the fact that you will witness everything come to love come to ruin.

Any other husbandos other than Hidan?

Since I already gave my top 5, I'm going to rephrase this to mean what past husbandos have I had. Before, I must explain that in the past I've had a husbando (a guy I'd marry) and a paramour (a guy I'd keep around for more of a physical relationship)

1st Husbando: Ukyo (Amnesia)
1st Paramour: Crona (Soul Eater)
2nd Husbando: Ginko (Mushishi)
2nd Paramour: The Major (Hellsing Ultimate)

What would be the first thing you would do if you are in Japan?

Other than check in to my hotel and stuff, probably go to an actual ramen shop. I've always wanted to go to one of those.

Do you have any OCs? I don't remember if you even mentioned whether you had any.

I have sooooo many. In fact, my current name (Kyra) originally was an OC's name, back when I made her in 2010. (Yes, Kyra is not my actual name. No, I will not give away my actual name.)

Have you ever done the chicken dance?

*does the chicken dance*

(I probably do it a lot more often than the average human being)

What is your dream job?

It's to be a poet/author/traveler/artist/photographer/blogger/composer.

Basically, in a more coherent way (or less, depending on your perpsective), I want to be an internet personality, using the name Kyra. I would travel the world, and write about my experiences, my thoughts, and make comments about whatever world news is going on on a blog. I'd make most of my money by selling stuff like poetry books and art.

However, the chances of that aren't very likely, so I have a backup plan that I don't hate. Most likely I'm going to end up as an editor.

Q&A

Since I got 5000 views on here, I was wondering what to do to thank you guys, then I realized - I should do a Q&A! So put your questions in the comments, and I'll answer them! ^^ And if I don't get many questions in the comments of this post, I'll create another post specifically for submitting questions, and bump it a few times. Please note: I reserve the right to deny the answer to any question. Please don't ask questions like what's my phone number or any other private or deeply personal questions. Okay? ^^

Capturing the Wind

A rock cannot capture the wind.
It can be tall, strong, unyielding
It can know who it is and who it's meant to be
But no matter how it tries
A rock cannot capture the wind.

Rather, the wind wears the rock down
Hitting it with problems so tiny they go unnoticed
Until the rock cries out in agony
For the parts of its soul that it has now lost

Yet the wind still comes
Screaming through the cracks and crevices
Yelling to be heard
And the rock can only say back
"I hear your pain but
I cannot hold you nor can I help you!"
So the wind quiets down to a whisper
And the rock quiets down to a moan

Then the day comes and
The glass night shatters
The wind leaves without so much
As a whisper of a goodbye
And the rock is left to lick its wounds
And heal its scars
Until its next attempt
To capture the wind.

Stressful Week, New Husbando, + Q&A!

Okay, I'm about to give you quite the update on a variety of subjects, so let's get started in a random order:

Thanks so much to those who responded to my last post! That was only the start of what became a very stressful week, trying to balance between social life, salvaging what I can of my much-less-than-perfect grades, and personal free time, all while being sick. It was a hard week, but I got through it. ^^ And now I can relax now what with the super long weekend (we go back to school on Wednesday) and now that I've finally stopped being sick. ^^

Yes, I signed up for the 2015 Fan Art Challenge, and the biggest reason I haven't posted anything yet is that I haven't made a cover for the comic ^^' I finished my first week, and I did the basic sketch of the second week's, I just didn't have time (or mental energy) to finish it. I'll finish it soon, though. And I haven't started the third week's yet.

So, I think I've finally decided my husbando. For those who don't know what that means, here. DISCLAIMER: I use the term husbando lightly. I do not believe this person is my husband, neither will act like he is my husband. Additionally, he will not stop me from dating real people. And, for clarification, if a real person with this personality were to exist, I probably wouldn't actually date him. I would probably call him a weirdo and a jerk and then walk away. He simply is the anime character that I just find attractive enough and with a reasonable enough personality that I could actually theoretically be in a relationship with.

And that character is (drumroll please)...

Hidan from Naruto!

This guy.

My full attraction to him stems from his ability to act cruelly insane, and yet still be sane - still be human. He may love carnage and destruction, but that doesn't mean he isn't easily susceptible to other human emotions - kinship, fear, even desperation, which is what makes her personality bearable in regards to a relationship compared to other insane ) people I'm attracted to (The Major from Hellsing Ultimate, Orochimaru from Naruto, etc.). Plus, he's religious. Religion is sexy. Not to mention he's immortal -- major bonus right there. Even if he's still buried six feet underground =.= Kishimoto, I'm looking at you!

And last thing to touch on - since I got 5000 views on here, I was wondering what to do to thank you guys, then I realized - I should do a Q&A! Okay? ^^
