I never asked anyone to prom. Neither did my two friends. So we went as a group. I was picked up by my one friend and we both went and got my other friend. We also met up with a few other friends there who didn't have a date. We had such an amazing time!!! I still have the group photo we took there :)
Anyways, I am glad that you aren't sad anymore. You can always go and have fun with your friends! Or if you decide not to go, you can do something special for yourself :) A few of my friends that didn't go went to the movies and had a sleepover (that sounded sooooo fun! xD)
You're right. No one needs a significant other to affirm themselves. I never went to prom in my life. In fact, I haven't had a boyfriend yet.
Personally, I think that if you don't go to prom, you should do something else to treat yourself. What I did was go to the mall and make my first Build-a-Bear. I'm such a dork.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
When I went to my junior prom I didn't have a date. I went by myself and had a great time with my friends. Don't like not getting asked to prom stop you from going if you really want to go. It's a fun time to just get dressed up and go hang out with your friends.
