News: Yamato 2199 To Contain 26 Episodes

After visiting ANN during the X-Mas weekend, I'm posting here a new update regarding "Space Battleship Yamato: 2199", the upcoming remake of the 1974 Japanese animated classic T.V. series "Space Batleship Yamato". Anime News Network revealed that the upcoming series, like each of the first two SBY T.V. series, will contain 26 episodes. Moreover, the staff working on the series are considering a theatrical compilation film series cut of the entire series itself, with the first film still being episodes 1 and 2 edited together for theatrical screening in April 2012 and the other six each being four "Yamato: 2199" episodes edited together. However, the release dates for compilation films 2-7 of "Space Battleship Yamato: 2199" aren't yet announced.
