The Races/Organizations Of Space Battleship Yamato
Humans
- Alias: Earthers.
- Live on Earth, Solar System, Milky Way Galaxy.
- Some members are pink-skinned, some are brown.
- Military is Earth Defense Force ("EDF" for short). Sometimes known as the "Earth Defense Army". Japanese language term is "Chikyuu Boei Gun".
Iscandarians
- Born on Planet Iscandar, Sanzar System, Large Magellanic Cloud
- Iscandarians are pink-skinned.
- Their society is as advanced and peaciful as that of Earthers.
- Capable of creating any form of space tech., except for power bases.
- Iscandarians have an aging process where teenhood starts at age 1 while it's age 13 for humans.
Gamilusians and Galmans
- In the North American English dub of Each T.V. series of "Space Battleship Yamato", "Gamilon" refers to Planet Gamilus (alias: Gamilas) and its inhabitants, the Gamilusians (or "Gamilians"). As for Planet Galman (whose name sometimes reads "Galmann"), the North American English dub of "Space Battleship Yamato III" refers to the planet itself as "Galmania" with the Galman people still being called "Galmans".
- Japanese language term for Gamilus Empire is "Gamirasu Teikoku"
- Galmans come from a star system in the Milky Way Galaxy.
- After advancing their civilization and discovering their capability for flight, the Galmans settled on planet Galman while part of their civilization, the Gamilusians go to the Large Megallanic Cloud to live on Planet Gamilus, then create bases and mining facilities in both Large and Small Megallanic Clouds.
- Members of both Empires are blue-skinned. However, the first 10 episodes of the first "Space Battleship Yamato" T.V. series depict the Gamilusians as being pink-skined (I speculate that those people are disguised as humans in thsoe episodes)
- During the events in "Be Forever Yamato", the Gamilusians and Galmans merge their Empires into the Gamilus-Galman Empire after Gamilus Ruler Dessler frees the Galmans from Bolar occupation. In the North American English dub of "Space Battlesip Yamato III", the entire merged Empire is called "Galman Empire".
Beemerans
- Semi-primitive bee creatures living on Beemera, a tropical planet located between the Milky Way Galaxy the Large Megallanic Cloud.
- Beemerans kill their prisoners in a machine that makes royal jelly given to members of the Gamilus empire for trade.
- All Beemerans are dark-green-skinned (except for their queen, who is pink-skinned).
- In the North American English dub of the 1st "Space Battleship Yamato" T.V. Series, "Beeland" refers to Beemera while the planet's inhabitants are called "Bee People".
- Among the elements not seen the theatrical movie cut of the 1st SBY T.V. series.
Balonodons
- Flying red-colored reptiles who fly through space, combined into one organism.
- Live on the planet Balan, whose plant life's heat is geothermal and sun is artificial. The planet itself is also location of the refuel/supply base the Gamilus people use for their invasion of Earth.
- In the North American nglish dub of the 1st "Space Battleship Yamato" T.V. Series, the Balonodons are called "Balanosaurus".
- Among the elements not seen the theatrical movie cut of the 1st SBY T.V. series.
Telezart
- People living on Telezart come from various interstellar races, and like some humans, they're pink-skinned.
- Telezart was before a space port for traders between the Galactic core and its surrounding regions.
White Comet Empire
- Also known as the "Gatlantean Empire" as it's dominated by a race from the Andromeda Galaxy known as the Gatlanteans. Another alias for this Empire is "Comet Empire", which is the only term to refer to this in the North American English dub of "Space Battleship Yamato 2". The Japanese language term for this empire is "Hakushoku Suisei Teikoku".
- The Empire's members (excluding people from outside gatlantis, such as Lady Sabera) are green-skinned.
- The Empire's home and space fortress is Gatlantis, the planetoid in the center of the White Comet.
- Believing they own the entire universe, the White Comet Empire intend to subjugate other races.
Black Nebula Empire
- Also known as "Dark Nebula Empire", "Dark Star Nebula Empire", "Black Star Cluster Empire", "Dark Star Cluster Empire", and "Black Sun Empire".
- Japanese term is "Ankoku Seidan Teikoku".
- Members of the Empire are referred to as "Black Nebulans", "Dark Nebulans", and "Dezarians".
- The Black Nebulans were fully born organic, but then gave up all flesh (except for head flesh) for longevity, becoming cyborgs and losing ability to reproduce. Therefore, they intend to capture other organic races (including humans) for breeding stock.
- Another goal of the Black Nebulans is to steal eneregy from planets to fuel their ships.
- The Black Nebulans live on Dezarium, a mechanical planet located in the center of the Balck Nebula, a double-galaxy located near the Milky Way Galaxy. The interior of the planet itself appears to be a massive spherical and metallic skeleton with its center containing a crystalline city whose tower tops can be detached to serve as missiles, the planet's exterior is created to resemble Earth and is used in "Be Forever Yamato" to trick the Yamato crew into thinking they traveled to a Future Earth that's ruled by the Black Nebulans.
- Like the members of the Gamilus-Galman Empire, the Black Nebulans are blue-skinned (except that their skins have a paler color tone that that of the Gamilus-Galman people).
- Although the Black Nebula and White Comet Empires are actually two different Empires, the Black Nebula Empire is accidently called "Comet Empire" in the North American English dub of "Space Battleship Yamato III"
Bolar Federeation
- Also known as "Bolar Union", "Borah", and "Bolar Commonwealth". Japanese language term is "Bora Renpou".
- The Bolar Federation consist of civilizations from various star systems of the Galactic Core's Inner Circle.
- The skin colors of the Bolar people are white, green, and blue (but paler than the blue skin of Black Nebulans).
Shalbart
- The people of Shalbart were once a powerful military, covering areas of space for conquest, but ended up driving civilzations they subjucated to starvation and death in the process. Being horrifeid by their actions, they gave up their military/ battle tactics and now serve as a paradise society, hidden away from the Mily Way Galaxy by an inter-dimensional doorway somewhere in the universe.
- Planet Shalabart is seen by oppressed individuals as a promised land as Princess Ruda Shalbart is a symbol of worship.
- The people of this civilazatiuon are pink-skinned.
- In the North American English dub of "Space Battleship Yamato III", this planet is called "Guardiana".
Dinguil Empire
- Also known as "Denguil Empire". Japanese term is "Dingiru Teikoku".
- The Dinguilians are technologically-advanced descendants from humans who were rescued by alien gods from a flood created on Earth by planet Aquarius 10 000 years prior to the events in "Final Yamato". Afterwards, thsoe humans took control of Dinguil civilization away from the Dinguilian gods
- Dinguilians are blue-grey-skinned, despite their ancestors being human.
- After the destruction of their home planet Dinguil caused by Aquarius, the Dinguilians manage to spare part of their world, a floating continent carrying the fortress Uruk (also known as "Uruku") and holding a warp devivce capable of carrying the planet that destroyed their world through space.
