I am more a manga fan more than an anime fan so that's what's likely most of my posts will be about. I am open to any manga and anime sugestions to post and put on the list of manga and anime for other blog veiwers to explore.
This weeks post is sort of a double feature. I say that because I'm doing one series, but I'll comment on both the anime and manga form. Magic Knight Rayearth & Magic Knight Rayearth 2 by CLAMP is the anime that got me into anime and the only series that I've watched the anime of and read the manga.
The basic story of Rayearth is that three junior high school girls: Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu get summoned to the land of Cephiro by it's ruler Princess Emeraude. They Find that they must save Cephiro to return home. For those of you who have read or seen the series you know that what is required to save Cephiro is alot different than the girls, or most of the audience think.
In Rayearth 2 the girls are summoned back to Cephiro to help again,but not by Princess Emeraude. I'm not going to say more because A)I want to try and avoid spoilers for people who are watching or who are planning on watching either series and B)the anime of Rayearth 2 differs from the manga than the original Rayearth.
I liked the series overall because the manga series are only 3 volumes per series and that leaves room for the anime to expand on the story without ruining it. Thanks for taking time to read this, Rayearth is one of my favorite series ever and I recommend to atleast take a short break and read the manga.
