Kitty!!! Definitely do a manga!!! I'm trying to work on one myself, I've had a couple of story ideas. Nothing is sticking right now except a shoujo plot I have. But I find that encouraging friends and seeing other fan comics is really inspiring, and its very rewarding to the author!! I'd definitely read your manga if you posted it here :D
Oh so what do you mean by editing? like simple editing or actual digital programs where you can draw on? If you only want simple editing such as contrast and effects, try picnik.com! Its free but its closing in April :( I've really enjoyed using it! yeah, it does take a little while to get the hang of. But its more easier and convenient if you only want a few edits done on your pictures!
I hear that mac laptops are pretty good with art! Are you thinking of doing more digital artwork? :)
