I think you did the right thing, even if you found out he didn't like you, at least you know. I think it'd be better to know then to wonder about it. It'll take time, but you'll feel better sooner or later, I promise. Til then be strong and try to stay happy. And remember you have a lot of friends here to talk to you, if you need them.

Plus, it takes guts to tell someone you like them. If anything, I envy you for that and I think he appreciates that, too.
