9. Barinade
Battling a parasite inside a giant fish's stomach? Sounds fantastic! Now, I'm not exactly sure if Barinade could be called a parasite, maybe it's a virus, who knows, but it's very interesting.
The idea of this boss is very different and the look is indescribable.
The battle itself is fun gameplay-wise, but boring when it comes to the feel of the battle. It sort of just feels like you're battling every other thing that you found in that stomach.
What gives this guy its place is the idea, the design, the uniqueness. It holds well with the area its in. I mean, some of the other things in Jabu Jabu's belly don't quite make sense, but Barinade makes plenty of sense. Whatever it is, it's a menace and needs to be dealt with.
Many times when one is battling a parasite or something that is cause of the pain of a creature it's usually something small, but Barinade is huge.
It's also electric. That's very different from any other boss I can think of in Zelda, that sometimes when you hit it you get damaged.
Overall it's a very cool idea.
