Obituary
Mr. Titian Vecelli died this week at the age of 85. Some of you may have heard of him, he was a popular painter, not just in here in Venice, but worldwide. He was known for his great paintings, one of which is called “The Assumption Of The Virgin”
Between the ages of ten and twelve was when Titian first came to Venice to look for an apprenticeship with a painter. He then succeeded when he found a young man named Giorgione Vecellio, Titian became his assistant and that’s when his works were really noticed for the first time.
Also during his time in Venice he studied with Gentile and Giovanni Bellini. Their similar views on artwork helped them with making great collaborations on each other’s paintings. Titian grew with fame even Emperor Charles V only wished to be painted by him.

Architect defies gravity

Florence, Italy- Today a new structure called “The Cathedral of Florence” was built after 16 years in construction (1425 -1436). The brilliant mind behind the architecture was Filippo Brunelleschi, a truly remarkable man whom is very intelligent. The construction of The Cathedral of Florence was built with an extremely unique design using no pilasters, arches, scaffolding, columns and reinforcement for support. Brunelleschi design uses a double walled ovoid shell anchored at the base by a 15-meter tambour (eliminating extra support).
