Well, Curse of the Golden Flower wasn't either....but I get what you mean...I still disapprove of something like that. If it's supposed to be kind of like that, at least make it look SOMEWHAT realistic...I think it was just a pathetic movie. In fact, I think maybe it was supposed to be kind of historical with lots of fantasy 'cause of the ending...O.o;
Yeahh...I think Curse of the Golden put a lot into the visuals...but it made it a good movie...if it didn't have all that, I don't think it would be that great of a movie...for me...I apparently can't deduce visuals from substance...O.o; If it has a ridiculously good look, not flaws, it's a good movie, I don't even look behind anything...O.o;
I don't think you can compare the two. I don't think F.K. was aiming to be... what's the word... historical? Honestly, I think they made it for the whole Jet Li & Jackie Chan team in order to cash in. I got a kick out of the movie, good for laughs.
Curse of the golden flower, on the other hand, was more of an artwork versus movie. xD They put sooo much detail into the costumes and story. Amazing movie, I feel like watching it again. I didn't know that was Jay Chou the first time! xDD
Yeah, The Curse Of The Golden Flower has really awesome costumes, which in my opinion, is the best part of the movie :D.
On the other hand, the Forbidden Kingdom looks like the typical bad-special-effects kung fu movie? XD
