I kinda wonder what it's like to have a sister, too...it must feel a bit more relaxing knowing they might have the same kinds of problems as you, while having a brother, you never know what is going on in that head...'orz
Well, yeah, I get sleepy, but I felt like giving up because I ended up crying but I don't feel like anything's solved other than "Yeah, whatever, you're upset... suck it up" *sigh* I wonder if I might be different if I had a sister? Probably somewhat, although I wonder if I would've found anime & manga if I did... possibly not...
Sometimes feelings are more important than fact. Whether or not it's a fact that there's a monster in the room, if you don't feel safe, you'll do what you think needs to be done in order to feel safer. Although, that's also how racism got started... *sighs*
You said ' Nowadays, pop sensations just don't last as long.' But that's okay. There are always misunderstandings in arguments, that's why you continue to try to get your point across so that they understand you.
You are right. That's because we live in a Democracy. And I almost completely disagree with that kind of government. But even if that is so, you should at least find some positives with all the negativity on you. They probably don't think you're what you say you think they think you are (holy crap, talk about poor sentence structure...that made almost no sense...'orz). Don't ever give up! Life is hard and frustrating sometimes, but again, you can't agree with the negativity.
Bad things can happen with the light on still. Bad things don't disappear with light. And your point is the reason why people would have a bad feeling in the dark. But there's a difference between caution and fear. Caution is making sure you're not alone when walking down a city street at night. Fear is being afraid to be left alone in the dark in some room that is 95% safe...like your bedroom...but the fear I was talking about is the kind you get when you're little (I still get it...XD). But it was to address my point of 'feeling'. It's just a feeling, it's not a fact.
I said "music world" but sorry. I'm not clear enough nowadays because everyone is misunderstanding me. U2 is still going pretty strong.
Don't you know? We live in a society where it's "Majority Rule." If 75% of people get together and vote that you're dog $h!t, you may as well roll up on the ground and let the flies land on you. I try fighting, but I'm just speaking a foreign language.
I turn on the lights so that bad things go away. Because evil hates the light. People get attacked more often at night because it's harder to see than in broad daylight. And even if it is daytime, don't bad things/people drag you out of eyesight?
I don't think 10 years is a fad. Plus here is the definition of a 'fad':
— n
1. an intense but short-lived fashion; craze
2. a personal idiosyncrasy or whim
For instance, skinny jeans or 3-D glasses. They last for a while and quickly go out of style.
It's not just pop, don't generalize. It's the same for every kind of music. You should never expect people to do something forever.
Give me an example of a band that lasts for more than 10 years. They usually lose popularity after a while, or have much of those years taken up with unpopularity. The fad is the audience, not the band.
The Backstreet Boys seem to be a fad, but they're still going, they're just not as popular. But then you have bands like Lareine who were somewhere popular and broke up after a few years. That doesn't mean they're a fad, that's just life.
In conclusion, you could say all music is a fad based on your description of it. But using a word like that can be really harsh when describing things especially to a fan with such dreams. My post may have been about how I was upset about it, but it's not like I was giving up on a dream or anything, I just pointed out the reality of the situation. I can't keep dreaming that a certain band won't come to a America so I won't miss them, because the probably will.
You may think that. Don't keep putting yourself down because none of it is true, it's just a feeling. It will past. Just don't agree with that feeling.
When you have the feeling you're being followed, you're probably not being followed, it's just a feeling. Or that you're in a dark room and you feel like there's something bad in there, you turn on the lights and there's nothing there.

Isn't the definition of a fad something that comes and goes relatively quickly? Regardless of what causes these things to dissolve, they fade away. Nowadays, pop sensations just don't last as long. But there are exceptions in the music world, I think. There's at least one exception to the rule anywhere you look...
Yeah well, around here, I'm the "odd man out" apparently. So it doesn't matter what I think/feel/say anymore.
Nah...they're the kind of people when you ask if you can go somewhere they're like 'right now!?' when you meant liike a week from then....'orz
They're not fads...people grow up. People change. Many of my favourite bands have already broken up or something like that. Things don't last forever, and you can't depend on things to last forever or you'll be sorely disappointed. Saying something like that is really harsh to fans (like myself) and the people who work so hard to be where they are.
You learn things everyday from people of all ages. It may feel like you know nothing, but that's just a feeling. It's probably just the argument kind of things. Both sides feel they know it all so when you start to find the other side reasonable, you feel like you've lost when ya haven't! >:D *is getting fiery*
Yeah, that's another one of those annoying issues. Have you considered asking them if you could go with a chaperone? I mean, if you were with someone they could trust, they may be more inclined. That's from a general standpoint, as I don't personally know your parents XD;
Well, doesn't that make them fads, technically? If they're really great, they may last longer. But a lot of those j-pop groups seem like they're artificially manufactured just to bring in an audience every so often.
Well, you might not get to see the ones you like now, but I'm sayin maybe you'll at least get a chance to experience something.
Ah, well sorry for upsetting you, but I'm only saying what I think personally. Whether or not it's a kick in the right direction remains to be seen. However, once you've gotten the longing out, it's best not to dwell XD This coming from a semi-masochistic melodramatic sop XD;;; *is hit with an inflatable hammer* X3; Then again, I don't usually give advice as often because I don't feel like I can really teach anyone anything. From those around me constantly saying things, apparently, I know nothing at all =-u-;= A college degree means nothing if you can't properly apply it... "orz *is beaten into a hole for saying random things*
That's not at all the problem. The problem is that my parents won't allow me to go to places that far away, I already tried when Morning Musume went to Los Angeles and I begged and pleaded for me to go and told them I would save up the money and stuff, but they wouldn't let me still. And there's no point in saving up money to go to those kinds of things that won't actually affect me in any sort of way, it's just a little desire...it's not my dying wish to go see any of these bands anyways. Plus you don't get told this, usually, until a few months or weeks before, so I wouldn't have any time to get to do all the saving up and caring about going.
That's the thing...IN.THE.FUTURE. In the future many of these groups may not even exist! There is no future when it comes to seeing bands, it is now. But that's the reality...*shrugs*
Part of me is mad about what you've said, the other part is very thankful and happy that you would be so kind to kick me in the right direction...O.o; It's a bit of a bi-polar-ish moment right now...'orz

You probably won't get to see them... if you have that sort of attitude about it =T Also, while you're young, maybe the chances are slimmer, but it's not impossible. If you save up and are able to support yourself more, you'd probably have a better chance of being able to go see them if you take matter into your own hands, rather than wishing, y'know? Nothing wrong with wishes, they're fantastic. But y'know, action and whatnot make 'em come true. Usually, when you're willing and able to travel, you can make it to some of these things... Okay, I'm prolly not makin any sense XD I'm not that old, anyway XD;;;
Anywho, main point being, cheer up. Maybe it might be more difficult to go to these things now, but in the future, you'll have a higher chance of being able to. So just hold tight until then. =^_^=
The South is the place that needs these people to come so that the rest of us can quit being such stick-in-the-muds...hrmmm...not that I'm actually Southern, but still...>3>
You took the words out of my mouth. No Asian artist will dare come to the South, closest will be Texas.

I dunno if you like pop, but this song usually cheers me up:
