Ah, same here. Talking on the internet is a trouble because you don't know how to other side is going to read it...O.o;
Yeah, we both like hair, except she's not afraid to cut people's hair (plus it saves money). Most of the hair cutting places I go to I kinda don't want to get my hair cut from the people there because they themselves have terrible hair cuts...O.o;
XD That must be what it's like for my friend's little sister. Both her and her twin want to do something with beauty (and I think they can since they look like models every day of school).
Oh, really? Well cool! I was worried I sounded snooty or confusing... A lot of my talking via the internet makes me sound like a know-it-all, but I'm really not, so I get worried when I try to explain things #_#;
I'm glad it was a good reference! I just typed in 'face types' or 'face shapes' in google images and that was one of the things that popped up.
Oh geez, I guess that wouldn't work would it? "Hey mom I need to talk to you about my hair. I need styling tips, stat". And even if you do go to a salon, it can be kind of hard to ask for tips '_' It's cool though that your mom does your hair, though. It's also neat that she's an artist!
Both my brother and sister want to become hair dressers, and even one of my friends is enrolling into beauty school soon so I'm constantly surrounded by hair and beauty talk. It's crazy, man.

Nope, that makes COMPLETE sense. I wish they'd explain that better on the hair cutting websites. (It's funny you used Roseanne for the examples! XD).
Those are some very good pictures, thank you! *3* I've never seen examples so precise (because I wasn't quite the round, oval, heart, square, long shaped face that I kept seeing...O.o;)
Oh! That's so cool! No wonder you know so much! XD I'm learning more from you that those silly tips from the hair color companies (they tell you hardly anything and most of the time they say 'talk to your stylist'....well, my stylist is my mom...O.o; She's an artist, not a hairstylist).
Well, picking a hair style according to face shape can be tricky, but it really boils down to what frames your face properly. Liiiike in this picture of Roseanne, her hair is a short bob. her face is already round, and the bob makes it looks super unflatteringly round. That's not the best picture to show it, but. Whereas in this picture her hair is longer and she has bangs. It makes her face look thinner and less round. (She had lost some weight at that point so it was, but). Though she has also had short hair that framed her face better and her head didn't look round. So length/straight/curly/wavy doesn't quite matter as much as just framing your face correctly. I don't know, I'm not the best at explaining things.
Sorry to use such a weird model. It's the first thing that popped into my mind about people with round faces getting bad hair cuts.
Maybe this'll help, as to what face type you might have? (I'm round like circle haha).
Sorry if that came off weird or something. My brother is a hair dresser so he's always drilling do's and don't's into my head >,>
Face shape doesn't make any sense to me...I don't know what face shape I have...;m; And the things that help to explain what face shape you have don't make sense. They're like, round heads should have straight hair, and then they have a picture of a girl with a round head and straight hair...Agh, bahh, I don't get itttt..
But, yeah, hair type is kinda important. Some hair styles don't work well with thick hair, while some don't work with thin hair.
This site is kind of sha-mazing. Seriously though, it's hard to find good references for certain hairstyles and sometimes you don't know what the proper name is for one you need to look up.
And the make-up schemes are awesome for future reference! Though I agree, some people could be like, HEY SHE LOOKS PERDY, MAYBE IT'LL DO THE SAME FOR ME. The best way to decide a hair cut is face shape and hair type.
