A lot of master artists' paintings look way too much like themselves that sometimes its irritating. I think its definitely true most people look like their art but some do so more than others. I prefer not to paint too much self portraits like my professor requests of me...I dun want my art to look too much like me, even though it inevitably will.
That's the one I looked at first! XD It's super weird 'cause I was trying my best to draw in another artist's style...maybe I liked the style 'cause it reminded me of my face? XD I dunno...I think we're all a little narcissistic even without meaning to be.
I've noticed that, people tend to draw people that look like themselves. I can see my siblings' faces in their art styles, and I used to think it was because I knew them so well that their art seemed like an extension of them, but I'm looking at these art vs artist memes and seeing people's faces in their art. It's weird how much we project ourselves without even meaning to.
