well today I have experianced something new
hate mail.
well, hate comment
on a website called "hatena" you make animations and the like.
it is really fun. it's a pretty amazing place, full of creativity.
but it's not a nice place like theO is...unfortunatally
like every site involving art, there are the jerks who are out to steal all teh credit. we just refer to the work the take as "stolen"
it happens all the time.
so Hatena made a function where you can report it. but again unfortunatally, people abuse it.
everytime you report something or someone you get a green star (which aren't that hard to get if you are good at making flipnotes, but if you are so low as to steal a flipnote, why not pawn off green stars too?)
that is why I haven't reported a flipnote yet. i don't want to look like I reported it for the green star. because I would never do something like that..
but i found a stolen flipnote the other night. and I couln't help myself but to say something.
I said that it was stolen, and he was star begging...
he sends me back on one of my flipnotes
(do i know you? I dont think so.so get a life.)
he didn't include punctuation though, and that drove me crazy on the spot.
but that's beside the point.
i have ZERO tolerance for art theft. that goes for flipnotes also.
gosh.
then I sent him this--
well well, aren't we articulate?
but seriously...why would you want to steal a flipnote. changing it a little bit doesn't count. you won't truely learn anything by taking the credit for something someone else created. you will learn when you make something yourself, and people like it for what it is. there is no justification for flipnote stealing (or art theft) anywhere or anytime. you were born an original, don't die a copy. i have faith in every person.
but before you steal-please think of the original creator, how would they feel.
"f there is any great secret of success in life, it lies in the ability to put yourself in the other person's place and to see things from his point of view - as well as your own."
- Henry Ford
yeah, ima bitch...let it out...
this just drove me crazy. i absolutly hate people like this. I can't wait to see how he responds! *evil laugh*
should I report him?
