NY, I love you

So, two or three times a year I get off my ass, get in my car and make the six and a half hour drive from Boston, MA to Corning, NY...alone.
I do this so that I can spend some much needed time with the friends I grew up with, Edward and Malachi. I gotta say, we always have a great time.
We're all big gamers and play a lot of the hot titles, but one game is pervasive with us and will never die. Phantasy Star Online for the Nintendo Gamecube. We are total nerds for this game and we don't care what you think!
I also took them through making characters for Shadowrun 4th edition and then sent them on a run. I will say right now, making SR4 characters for the first time is the longest and most painful process imaginable! I don't know how I got through it when I first started...Anyway, that game ended with Edward's character chucking a grenade and blowing up a portion of a warehouse product shelf, which promptly collapsed on top of the fork truck, its driver and the armed man running up behind it. Suffice it to say they had fun, as did I.
After two days of Phantasy Star and Shadowrun with Ed and Mal, I drove to Rochester's own RIT to hang out with my good friend, Tony. We ate some Red Robin delicious burgers and chatted for a while, exchanged some digital data and then I hit the road for a lovely seven hour drive through the dark. It was a great weekend, but it was good to be home.

I am posting this story on request by my good friend, AngelBest Dream!
Take care all. Travelling 13 hours for two of your best friends in the world is so worth it!
