Kita rattled the bars on the cell door as they walked away. “I am not acting! It’s not a lie! Why would I lie about this?! Aizen is coming for me! Please! You have to believe me!”
She then reached out for Kyoraku as he walked past just out of reach of her grasp. “Shunsui! Please! You have to listen to me! It’s all truth. Why would I lie?! Please~!”
“SHUT UP!” One of the inmates yelled at her as she cried out to Yamamoto and Kyoraku. In hearing the inmate yell at her she then heard a loud clank then the deep baritone voice of Kyoraku spoken softly.
“Practice what you preach.”
It was a few more tears and Kita heard the door of their pod close tightly behind Yamamoto and Kyoraku. Both gone and her attempt to get them to listen failed. She walked over to her bed and fell face first into her pillow and cried herself to sleep.
Captain Kyoraku fixed his hat again. "Yes, Yama-jii." He paused and looked back at the Seraph, her tears-streaked cheeks, and wide, terrified eyes. Perhaps it was all a ruse set by Sousuke. It would be easier if it were. Dark eyes solemn, he tipped his hat towards her. "I'm sorry, Kita. I'm useless with crying women. Try to sleep before the end." He followed after Yamamoto.
As they exited the Nest, Shunsui found another question sitting on the tip of his tongue. "I wonder, if she is telling the truth, would it be enough to change her sentence?" He stroked his chin and looked up at his old teacher. "Would that balance the good and the bad enough for Central to take a gamble with her?"
"Shunsui! Remove yourself from her cell!" Yamamoto ordered him. He looked to Kita. "We will not fall for any of Aizen's tricks. You young lady are an excellent actress. He sent in the right tool to trap and trick us. However, you have to get up very early in the morning to fool this old man."
Yamamoto watched as Kyoraku broke free from Kita and stepped from her cell.
"We will go check out your claim of Juushiro being an imposter and if I find out that he is indeed Juushiro Ukitake. I will personally return to our cell and execute you with my own sword. Then hand your dead body over to Sousuke myself. I will not allow this atrocity to take place. If he wants you that badly--” Yamamoto turned and started walking away from her cell. “He can have you, but only after your heart has stopped beating.”
Yamamoto did not look back as he continued to walk away. “Shunsui!?” He beckoned after his 8th Captain.
Kita raised her hand to her forehead rubbing it with her fingertips. "I don't know." She looked up at Shunsui, "but he found me. A divine creature that should have never been found. Yet he found me. Tarnished me, damaged me and… He will soon kill me."
She jumped up from the floor clutching Shunsui's kimono front in her hands. "You have to get me out of here! He is coming for me! He said so! He is coming and it won't be alone! He will bring my Master and I am sure many more of the Espada!"
Her tone became more panicked as Kita looked to Yamamoto then back to Kyoraku. "SHUNSUI! YOU HAVE TO GET ME OUT OF HERE OR HE WILL DESTROY SOUL SOCIETY! Nothing will stop him as he rips this place apart! Brick by brick until he has found me!" Kita dropped her head to Shunsui's chest her hands still clutched to his kimono. "Aizen, Gin, the Espada. Nothing will be left standing, or alive in the Soul Society until they have found me. Please... I can't handle seeing any more of my friends die because of me. Please..."
The captain's eyes narrowed and shared a look with the Captain Commander. "How would Sousuke have found out that of all things? It was.... centuries ago ... and what does he hope to gain from it?"
Kita shook her head and spoke softly. "I am not allowed to talk of such things." She cast her eyes down to the floor. "But you know what I am talking about. You were there with him, Shunsui."
Kita shook her head. "No I have no idea's why he would pick Juushiro over all the others. Unless..." Kita paused her eyes widened as she shook her head and spoke quietly. "Would he do that? Does he even know about that? He can't. He shouldn't know." Kita shook her head again. "Only the Gods and the bearer knows of it."
Shunsui set a hand on Kita's shoulder as her shoulders shook with her distress, offering her some small comfort. "She seems pretty certain, Yama-jii. As much as I hate to stomach the idea, wasn't it you who told me not to overlook any clue given?"
He turned back to Kita. "Why would Sousuke choose Juushiro to impersonate, of all people? Do you have any idea?"

Yamamoto stood erect as Kita quickly moved toward Shunsui and grabbed him. Her tone was frantic and scared as she spoke about Aizen and having Juushiro as his captive once more.
"Are you sure of this indications? Could it been the strain that finally got to you?” He asked her.
"JUUSHIRO!" Kita looked around the room and got quickly from her bed walking over to Kyoraku. Fear for the man named Juushiro written all over her face. She grabbed Kyoraku by his kimono sleeves and looked up into his eyes tears now streaming down her cheeks. "Why didn't you listen to me?! WHY?!"
"That was not Juushiro! That was not Juushiro Ukitake! That was Aizen. When you let him talk to me he told me. Look at all the trouble you cause, my lovely Kita. But don't worry. I will fix it for you and the punishment will soon begin. Juushiro would never say something like that! Not to me not to anyone!"
Kita dropped her head and started to cry harder. "He has him again." Slowly she dropped to her knees in front of Kyoraku. "Aizen has Juushiro again." She said softly and drew her hand to her face and continued crying.

"She has showed no signs of waking?" Yamamoto asked looking the Seraph's way. At that moment he saw her hand flinch slightly and she shot up in her bed, eyes wide and filled with fear.
"I'm not sure, Yama, but that's what I want to ask the seraph when she awakes. Juushiro put her into a Kido sleep when she threatened then attacked him." He paused. "He seemed shaken by the hearing and still cared for this girl; I didn't notice anything off about him."
He hesitated then added. "If we removed the small detail of his illness, which was being treated by Unohana, Sousuke wouldn't have to try too hard to impersonate Juushiro, considering how they were both known for intelligence, kindness, and their smiles, before the unmasking." He closed his eyes. "The bastard would just have to act as he had before he betrayed us," he hissed.
Shunsui took a breath, slowly calming down. This train of thought greatly disturbed him, and if it wasn't such an urgent matter, he'd burry himself under his work and fall asleep.

Yamamoto thought back to all the times Aizen had tricked them before with his masks of deceptions.
"Juushiro? Of all the men he could have take their place, Shunsui. Why one of such ill health? Could his powers even decisive us to the point of Juushiro's illness? And why?"
Shunsui glanced around again, making sure they were alone and stepped closer to his old teacher. "The Seraph got spooked and seemed to believe it was Sousuke there, not Juushiro," he stated in the lowest whisper he had, "using his zanpakuto's powers, and that he had the real Juushiro somewhere."

Shunsui rose and scratched the back of his neck. "I think we have a problem, Yama-jii, right under our noses, and I am not talking about Ichimaru's sneaking around." He looked down the dark hallway. "This could cause a riot and I am only bringing it up because the slim possibility refuses to leave my mind."
