I concur with the others.
Besides, the incident has already happened. Rather than fret over whose fault it is, it's better to concentrate on how to salvage as much as possible.
I concur with the rest of these fabulous people (except I'm way less generous, and my inclination would be to say it's more HER fault than yours, because she was the one that did the actual spilling and failed to see/avoid the cup).
As long as you can rescue the hard drive and boot it on another PC as a slave drive, all the files should be intact. I should hope the hard drive would be okay.
If the hard drive is toasted, that's another story.
Also, the heck with "it's my fault" or "it's her fault". Someone left a water out and you didn't know about it, and she spilled it on her computer. (Probably 'cause she didn't see it, either.) Sure, if you'd saw it and taken care of it the laptop would be fine, but alternatively, if she'd seen the water and moved it, the laptop would also be fine.
I'm not telling you to blame her or try to stop her blaming you (which she might not; if my computer was fried, I'd be a bit furious as well, and it might come off as being angry at another person). I am telling you not to worry about the Blame Game when there are a lot of factors in this mishap.
If you'd dumped water on her computer, that'd be different. But three people and a chain of 'decision-branches' were involved to make this happen. Feeling sick with guilt is not going to help anything.

Focus on a way to salvage the files.

I wouldn't want to be around someone going through that either. ._.
Don't blame yourself. Why was he laptop near a glass of water anyway? It's not your fault at all! *hugs*
