I havw wonderful memories of Maryland, I worked near Baltimore, our
Fridday treat was to go to the Harbor, buy flavored coffe for the gang, or soft crab sandwiches! No can do in California, been here 20 years and just scratching the surface of things to see. If the work computers wouldn't slow or crash so often, it wouldn't be too bad. Many timmes they send a team, and they end up scratching their heads. (not a good sign). We used to go sailing on the Chesapeake- we took the Red Cross course several times, but got to the point where we could rig and launch the little day sailor. I flelt like a gazillionIRE, AND WITH A GOOD WIND, IT FELT LIKE WE WERE GOIng HUNDRED MILES HOUR. aO peacefuland beautiful-- I loved ir. i Haven't been to Big Bear where it snows, or to San Diego to sail-- itsa huge state and lots to see and do-- but as I get older, GRR time is spent fixing /cleaning appliances, finding contractors, or working. Thankfully, one friend pulls up to work on Friday and beeps the horn and yells "lets go " , but you can find amazing things growing at the curb! Honestly, people here have lemon , orange, guava, pomagranet trees, we have a persimmon tree in the backyard. So lots to see just in the backyard. the big problem is time!
Do you live in Baltimore? i really have a soft spot for it, all the neighborhoods. From there we were transferred to Detroit which is a whole nother story!. In California, there's a great program on Pbs CALLED cALIFORNIA'S GOLD, AND ITS USUALLY ABOUT THE THINGS not in the tour books, but incredibly wonderful to experience, so I have barely scratched the surface! I had asked how people put backkgrounds and pictures on their sites, I was used to the code used on my O. Needless to say, computersare not my strong suit, but I guess I'll keep trying. What are you doing currently?do you plan to stay in Maryland? When we lived there, we did not get the snows or awful temperatures you all are getting.
Still adjusting to
Windows 7 and the new computer (STILL HAVEN'T FOUND A NAME FOR IT). Hope to hear again from you soon!///////AND THANK YOU FOR THE GIFT.. THAT WAS VERY SWEET OF YOU.
Maybe this Guidelines link will help? I'm not entirely sure what your need is... T_T
GO BALTIMORE! GO RAVENS! (Baltimore Ravens game today...wish us luck!) As a Marylander, my dad tells me the same thing: Watch out for the black ice. A few years ago, I had a friend who flipped his PONTIAC (as wide as those things are) on its top due to some black ice. Scary stuff. I have to watch out for it too...You don't see it all the time, which is the scariest part.
We haven't had much snow, but yeah, the temperatures here ARE FRIGID! Lol I don't like it...At least give us more snow so we can have messed up school schedules. hehehe Is it cold where you are, since you mentioned you got your heat again?
I recently saw the anime movie "Sky Crawlers." You may find it interesting. What kind of anime/manga are you into?
