Sooooooo yeah. I brought my laptop to my school to be repaired. Cuz the hinge is broken. And it was being held up by string. Yes, STRING. DX So, now Mandi is laptop-less. And I have to share this computer with the rest of my family. Oh, the unspeakable horror!!! DX And since my little brother is obsessed with playing online RPGs, I can't get on most of the time. *sigh* So I was lucky to snag this bit of time to post!! 
But only after my dad had to yell at my brother to let me on. *sigh* Ah well, que sera sera. (I think that's the phrase... *shrugs*)
Tuesday night my swim team had the end of season banquet. That was lotsa fun. :D I wore my mom's dress... and her shoes... The dress is very pretty. It's off white and lacy with a velvet ribon thingy. But her shoes have got to be the most uncomfortable things I have ever worn. They gave me a blister on the tops of my feet... and they're high-heeled. I have great difficulty walking in high heels. Plus, I'm already tall enough. (I'm 15 and 5'9".) Not that being tall is a bad thing, necessarily... *shrugs* But I just don't like wearing high heels. Um... my little brother got a trophy for "unsung hero"!!! Go Justin!!!! *sniff* I'm so proud!!! T^T When he gave him the trophy, the coach said that an unsung hero is someone that you don't really notice when they're there, but you really miss them when they're gone. Go little brother!!! X3
On Wednesday I went over to M-chan's, and we subsequently went over to G-chan's, to watch a movie. We watched Blood and Chocolate, which is about werewolves. I haven't read the book, but according to M-chan the movie is nothing like the book. For example, the movie took place in Romania. The book... took place in Maryland. -_- Other than minor details such as that, it was a very good movie. It's about a werewolf girl who falls in love with a human, and her family doesn't like it. It was very good. ^_^
I tried today to get contacts... and failed miserably. The doctor said that I might have trouble with things getting so close to my eyes because of trauma when I was a child. When I was 5 or 6, some kid at the playground threw sand at my face, and lots of it got in my eyes, so my mom had to come get me and take me to the doctor to wash it all out of my eyes. Strange thing is, I can't remember ANYTHING at all about that. Nothing. I know that the human brain blocks out any memories of traumatic events... so that's probably it. *shrugs* But anyway, the doctor said that's probably why I have issues with contacts.
Um... there's a neighborhood party tomorrow. :D That'll be fun. 'Cept kids have to leave at 7. *sigh* But then I'm babysitting for one of the kids who's leaving anyway. XD Babysitting is my main source of income. *nods* XD I have had no luck in getting a job as of yet... *sigh* So, I'm pretty much broke. I have to mooch off my parents. DX
