Have you ever heard of Uzumaki. People could have severe nightmares after reading that. It's only 3 volumes but it's pretty good, very disturbing images. Scarred two of my poor friends who stole the manga from me after I told them they shouldn't look at it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uzumaki
Mature and yaoi are the way to go. Mature because you can only take in so much fluffy shoujo before you croak, and yaoi because it has 99% less bitchy, whiny, hormonal (pre)teen girls c: It's a win-win situation!
I love FF to bits too, it's one of the few manga I can re-read without feeling like skipping some chapters. Truly a great piece of work.

I love it, gore's always been one of my favorite themes ever (along mature & yaoi), so I was more than happy to see a cute manga like this one. It has a good plot, the characters actually look adorable and the gore is so explicit it beats any anatomy lessons ever. Too bad it's not updated as often as I wished, but when it is, it's par-thayyy~ for me XD
I think this is the only gore manga, except Hellsing, that I re-read when I'm bored.
