~Ryuu~
Yami was so relived, but I wasn't very happy. She was visibly weakened, and that made me angry. I never wanted anyone to see her weak. It made me jealous and over protective. My eyes widened as I noticed she was about to pass out. I reached out to catch her and just held her in my arms. "My Goddess...what have I done to you?" I kissed her forehead.
Tsubasa Sensei was waiting. When he saw Yami he ran over. I growled a warning at him and he stopped. "Ryuu, what happened? " After I explained it to him he looked at me with concern. "Do you...feel ok?"
I raised an eyebrow. "What does that mean?" He frowned. "Yami has reanimated the dead many timea before, but bringing someone back to life is a feat usually only done by full fledged reapers. Are you sure you're not still...dead?"
I shrugged. "Doesn't matter if I am or not. As long as I am here with her. Anyway I am taking her back."
"You don't want to use the car?"
I shook my head. I didn't want him to be anywhere near my Yami. I took off with her in my arms. When we got back I laid her on the bed.
Just in time for my cell to ring.
"Hello?"
"RYUU! ARE YOU OK?!! WHAT HAPPENED?!!!"
My eyes widened. "Mom?"
"No it's your fucking guardian angel! Are you gonna answer me young man or do I have to come down there to that school?!"
I couldn't help but chuckle. "Mom I'm fine. Honest. Now calm down and take a deep breath." I heard her take one through the phone.
"I...I felt it. This chill that went right down my spine. I actually fainted while I was doing laundry. When I came to...I just knew something had happened. At least I had thought so. Are you sure nothing happened?"
She was crying. I could hear her. "Mom I swear I'm ok. I got hurt in a little scrap, but Yami healed me up in a snap."
"O...ok."
I could hear the note of uncertainty in her voice. She knew I was lying. Sometimes I swear my mom was the one that was part demon. "I love you mom. I promise I'm ok. I mean...I did answer my phone right?"
She chuckled. "Yes you did...thankfully. I had my keys and was on my way out the door."
The line got quiet.
"Ryuu...please. ..be careful. You're all I have. Please...don't. ..don't put me through that. I couldn't bear it. I'm not s...strong enough."
I could hear her age in her voice. She sounded so tired. "I love you mom."
After my mom finally accepted that I was fine and hung up I crawled into bed with Yami. It didn't take long before I fell asleep.
The next day Yami was still out. She was breathing, which was good. As far as I could tell she was ok...just asleep. I looked at the clock. The teachers were gonna be mad that we were skipping. Sensei checked in on us earlier. He said he would handle the headmaster if there were any problems. He also said we could have the night off to recover.
Finally. ..after what seemed like forever she finally woke up. I was so relived. After mumbling a few things she drifted back to sleep. I decided I would make her favorite for dinner and surprise her. While she eats I'll run her a nice hot bath to make her feel better. I bet that will make her happy.
