My eyes were closed tight. I was starting to sweat like crazy, and beginning to wonder if this would stop. My arms were now tightly wrapped around the godlike boy. My fingers were running through the ravishingly soft hair on his head. It was like this became my new heaven on earth.
Then, suddenly, a beeping forced my eyes open. I was gasping for air and covered in perspiration. My sweet, sweet dream was over. I walked over to the loudly sounding alarm clock and turned it off after a few tries. As I trudged back to get my pillow and blanket, I saw a discolored circle on both. My fingers ran over them to confirm what they were. Great, I was drooling in my sleep-- over the angel, no doubt.
After getting my stuff on my mess of a bed put away, I put on my glasses and got dressed in one of my more unusual outfits for the weather here in Healy, Alaska. A blue ruffle shirt, tan shorts, and flat shoes-- thus being the worst clothes for the cold. I have long, golden-brown hair that doesn't have anything special; so all I do is let it down and brush it a little, then it's good enough for me.
I pretty much was a zombie on the way downstairs to the kitchen. I threw a pop-tart in the microwave, poured a glass of milk and wolfed it all down a few seconds before Daniel, my dad, came down the stairs.
"How's my Pumpkin?"
I gave a big sigh. I didn't particularly like having all those little kid names. My actual name is Odette Aurore Bridge. But I answered, “Just fine. It was an... energizing night. And yours?"
