I just finished reading the "Fruits Basket" manga.

*2 minutes later: I ran to mom and gushed about it. Made me dry up a bit*

So beautiful. So heartwarming.

It makes me want to stand atop a sky scraper and yell out my love for everyone :3

Jumble

The latest episode of "ef - a tale of melodies" was utterly mind blowing!!!11! I don't have enough of a vocabulary or ability to put into words the overpowering impact this series has. Just. Wow.

Continuing on in the vein of anime thoughts, I semi-recently finished watching "Bokura Ga Ita" which is reminiscent of "Kare Kano" (boy did it make me wish the latter series had gotten proper treatment in its anime adaptation because it would've trumped "Bokura Ga Ita" beautifully) though this series was highly enjoyable in its own right.

The one thing that left a hint of a sour taste in my mouth was the constant whining of Takeshima. If they'd cut all of her indecisiveness down a notch her character would've been easier to stomach. But towards the very end that particular concern didn't linger too badly since all I could think of was "Where does it go from here!!!!????!!!!".

(Seriously, if the manga continues beyond the point where Yano goes to Tokyo pleeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeee tell me what happens :'3)

Something that truly annoys, however, me can be found in "Bleach", specifically Inoue in the last couple of episodes. She's now above and beyond the level of discontent I felt for Sakura in "Naruto" *rolls eyes* COME ON!
Instead of just standing there, oogling Nel, couldn't she just have done a two-in-one combo by erecting her little shield and heal Ichigo? Nooooo, she had to stand there like a broken tool and be bitch-grabbed by Nnoitra's puppy-servant and continue down the path of infuriating uselessness.

While Sakura does have redeeming points ... wait, scratch that. She had 1 redeeming point (medical prowess). In any case. Even with that in mind she's still not any less frustrating. The whole moping about not being helpful enough, standing in her buddies' shadow, and still saying Naruto can stand down because she'll save Sasuke instead. GAAAAAHHHHH! I so wanted to strangle her when she was putting down Naruto's efforts while getting pissed that Sai followed suit (in a reverse-psychology move, sweeeet dude).

How about taking a leaf (xD) out of Naruto's book and work your ass off to achieve your goals/wishes instead of being a totally nonconstructive whiny-pathetic-nancy that brings everyone down? Eh?! Seriously. You may have balls of strenght in your fists, Sakura, but Naruto has balls of spunk and that far outweighs your brute hissy fits.

..... That felt good =^___^=

In work-related news

I've been doing 10+ hours on top of my regular hours these past two weeks and it's hurting me. So hopefully I can buckle down enough to say no to too much work. But at the same time my philosophy is "be available in order to keep myself in the forefront of their extra-lineup of workers". Balance must be achieved. Somehow. *makes mental note of doing so in the future* >.>

This past Thursday I was looking forward to working the floor, mindlessly stocking shelves, buuuuut they stuck an 11-year old girl on me who had to do a day's interning in the store. The girl was alright, don't get the wrong idea, I just really needed to be on my own and not be attentive to or guiding someone else all day.

Two lines of freezers also decided to pack it in, meaning we had to unload all the stuff in them *_* It was quite a lot. Reaching into the compartments was a problem since I'm not a monkey and had to stand on a stool, effectively twisting my feet to fit into the holes in it, and trying to not lean in too much because that'd make the stool slip away, hoping lunch wouldn't regurgitate back up as I leaned/hung over the edge to reach stuff lined just out of my reach. Fun stuff.

Then a girl asked me to split her shift on Friday, because she was too sick to last the whole day by herself, which was fine. Only 5 hours of work, ya know. But added up with all the other days I'd been in this week .... well .... I am thoroughly exhausted. And it showed yesterday (Saturday) when I worked from 3 in the afternoon 'till closing at a quarter past 10. Coincidentally I was teamed up with the girl who I'd split the shift with. Both of us were increasingly losing stamina and as the last half hour of work started to tick away, so did our sanity.

She had a sore throat and joked how funny it would be if she started to cough like a dog when doing the "shop-closing-in-# minutes announcement", eliciting many laughs. It rolled on from there and by the time we were due to make the final announcement we were crying from laughing so hard, making it almost impossible for her to do her job (she failed the first time, not getting a word out and the second time she had to ditch the last sentence "we'll be open again tomorrow at #AM" or we would've been heard howling in amusement).

Our second-to-last couple of customers were highly amused but the last ones (two early-teens-girlies) imitated us as they turned the corner out of the store, to which I responded with an even louder laugh :D Hey, laugh to our faces of shut your ugly mouth, k? ;D

And now I need to take a nap from typing this up. Without checking if the sentences make sense (lawl) or if the grammar is correct! Color me rebel ~_^

Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun sun

I hurt my shoulder at work this past Saturday. It kept on hurting because I immediately tried to make it better by various motions that only ended up making it worse Dx lol at me! When I came home Mom immediately whipped out this lotion with pain-relief stuffs in it, which she's applied twice a day since, so today I'm feeling better. Any lavish movement with my injured shoulder are still annoyingly restricted, though *pout* And it's snapping a lot. Probably due to it trying to align itself properly or something. *peers at shoulder* Be good, ya?

Moving on! Because everyone has made such awesome harems I've decided to throw together my own. There'll be no explanations on my choices. In this post. Ya'll are welcome/encouraged to comment on what my harem selections say about me, of course! :D

Morita-senpai & Takemoto ~ Honey and Clover (impossible to pick one over the other. for me anyway!)

Honorable mentions:

Urahara Kisuke - Bleach
Tsuyukusa - Amatsuki
Pierrot - Yakitate! Japan
L - Death Note
Kirihara Naoya - Night Head Genesis

(The latest couple of episodes of Naruto almost made me put up Nara Shimakaru. I already had a high appreciation for his character but man-oh-man. Cut loose Shikamaru! *cheers*)

(Speaking of Naruto, I need to cleanse out my dismay towards Sakura. As well as Inoue from Bleach. Just... gah *shakes head* Next time.)

Please remember that I'm not a professional photographer and it was kinda tricky to get decent shots without natural light ^^;
