Dribble

Dagger: I haven't read anything in the papers about it so I dunno how things went after I got off, either :-/

Becky: Unfortunately the majority don't look to see if people, young or old, have sat down. I feel sorry for the good drivers who automatically get clumped together with the sloppy ones.

Schultzers: But you're a bus driver. There's a difference between a BUS DRIVER and a bus driver *hugs* :)

Shaow: It's interesting to note how the different drivers behave in traffic, for sure. There are some who are really careful and others makes you wonder what the speed limits are for a bus >.>

T-C: Riding on the bus is something I'm quite partial to, provided it's not crowded or too rowdy. Try it someday :o

(And yes, I came down with something ;_; )

Slick: Yeah, I don't think there are many bus drivers who are out to purposely cause injury to their passengers, thankfully. *ponders* Maybe I should've seized the moment when I got home to sing "Bad Day" by R.E.M?

The cold didn't flare up too badly. Little bit of a sore throat and stuffed nose but nothing I can't work with, come morning. The arm I used to almost-catch the old lady with is just barely sore today so that shouldn't be a problem either. Slightly annoying but meh ^^

I do, however, find the bruise above my knee amusing:

My computer's sent off for service, apparently with '1st priority' since it wasn't long ago it was "sent to the corner". We'll see how much faster that'll make things go. Kinda funny how I'd ordered a cd to Restore the compy to the original setting and that it arrived the day after the "crash" x]

Nothing much going on. I've been indulging my fondness for organizing and that's about it.

Oh! It bugs me slightly that I've missed way too many updates from friends due to the update list not having enough room. Sorry if you're one of the ones who've not heard from me in your comments lately!! ;_;

Loveth you all!

=(

I went home half an hour early today because my throat had been hurting all morning and I felt feverish. Kinda wish I had waited that half hour.

An elderly lady stepped onto the bus 2 stops before I was to get off. She adjusted her wheely thing and began turning around to sit down, I presumed, when the bus suddenly jolts off and she crashes mercilessly into the seat right next to me. It happened so fast that I had no chance to catch her or break the fall much with my half-extended right arm.

The bus driver noticed right away but had to move on to the next stop before she could stop. A young man and a woman helped the lady up. Poor thing was in pain and shock and rightly upset. She said she'd been close to falling before because the bus drivers don't give the elderly enough time to sit down, to which I can regrettably attest. Some drivers will wait until you're seated but others will just race off. If you have troubles with your balance as a youth then I can't imagine what it's like for the elderly.

Ironically enough she was on her way to the hospital for an appointment already so while the bus'd take her there (it's the end stop) it just made things even more tragic.

Bus driver lady apologized profusely but did it rather clumsily by stating she had never had this kind of accident before and she wouldn't carry on the drive at first, even when the old lady repeatedly stated she wanted to be on her way already. When the woman who'd helped out stated that it'd take 20 minutes to half an hour for an ambulance to get there (whereas by carrying on it'd take 10 minutes tops) and that she'd take care of the old lady once they arrived at the hospital, bus lady caved in.

Well, she caved right after writing down her name and the phone number to the bus company if the old lady wanted to 'report her', and repeating her apology a couple of times along with questioning if the old lady was feeling sick and to say so immediately if she started to feel sick. Poor old lady just wanted to get things over with and it was hard not to jump in there, though I held back since it wouldn't have helped her any. I gave her my best wishes when it was time for me to get off.

What a lousy morning this was.

Another day, without the head ache!

I have some spare energy to write up what I've done these past 3 days.

Monday: A light orientation in the morning followed by stacking groceries out in the store until 11-ish when they asked me to help out in the Dairy section. A girl had called in sick, leaving the one person there stranded with loads of stuff to get up. She was very thankful for the extra sets of hands :)

Everyone was super friendly, instantly took to calling me Mimmi (which is weird since only my friends from online and immediate family call me that lol) and took very good care of me ^^

When I got home I started to get real sore so to counter it I stretched (be proud of me gang :p) and crept into bed to keep warm. Head ache was more of a pain (lol) to get rid of.

Tuesday: For some reason I didn't like this day. They placed me in the Bread section and despite the incredibly straightforward work ... I disliked being there O.o;; It's not like I can give a solid excuse as for why either, haha. Maybe the fatigue from the day before made me grouchy *shrugs*

After work I had to swing by the internship coordinator to drop off a paper, so I walked there and then headed to get my bus card renewed. It meant about 20 minutes of extra leg exercise which was blah ._.

My computer had also decided to contribute to my continuing head ache. On Monday evening it had done some upgrades before I shut it off and since the following morning (Tuesday) the screen hasn't been able to connect to it. Whoopee.

Wednesday: Felt soooo sleepy on the bus ride because I had been dreaming vividly just before waking up and couldn't shake the drowsiness. Spent most of the day in Dairy up/unloading stuff. Aside from chilling winds blown down from the ceiling onto your head/neck (you're gonna wanna wear a hat or summat) I like it there.

Aided the guy in Fruit for the last 2 or so hours. My silly demeanor was slightly lost on him, sadly. I'll put it down to him being serious about his job and possibly feeling slightly stressed :p

Came home. Mom made me some food. Went to bed. Napped. Got up. Grabbed some food and started watching the first dvd of "Anne of Green Gables" :D Eldest sister bought them and is kind enough to share ^^

No head ache!!!!! The added fluids must've done the trick. Thanks guys :3

PS: .... This post kinda sucks xD I'll try to make it up next time *sends love*

Pet me, gimme a squeeze or a peck; anything'll do just fine

T-C: Your sedative powers are … powerful.

Well, I’m not so annoyed with the question itself just the non-existent option to not having an answer ready for it at any given moment >.>

Becky: The only time I feel inferior with not having a degree of some sorts is when people talk down to me and it’s not so much a feeling of inferiority, actually, it’s more of a ‘and what species are you then?’ feeling. Smart peeps like yourself (and James and *makes a long list of names*) makes me not hate academic people as a whole, though! *snuggles*

Schultzers: I are woman. Straight woman are I. I swoon for Podcast boys. Purr.

Shaow: You are wonderful and I totally agree with you. Mentality is an interesting and sometimes, sadly, scary thing. *huggles*

Today is the third day in a row I have a headache in the afternoon -> evening. Sunday it was due to staying up late Saturday evening, yesterday and today was due to work. Maybe I'm not getting enough fluids in me?

I'm not sure if my brain will throw unhelpful thoughts at me if I open it up for business but hopefully I'll be able to filter it out later in the week so you can get an update on me working and stuff. *leaves notes to jog her memory for the next post*

* Working pains
* Co-workers
* Job assignments
* 'Future' thoughts

Thanks again, everyone, for leaving love on my wallpaper :3

This post is broken

For those who have no intention of reading beyond this point I'll give you the abridged version .... not xD Ok, ok. Just skip on over to the second to last paragraph in this entry if you're not up to exposing yourself to my embellis...
