I'm actually just about to leave for class but I'll definitely come back to watch that video afterwards. I'll also have to catch up on your World since it appears I've missed a lot in the last week or so.
Awww the 80's....you see this is a funny coincidence, the other night I was chatting with SG and we started talking about 80's music and we, well I came to the conclusion that although there's still good music being made nowadays it doesn't have the same feeling and vibe as it once had...
Hehe...the video is so cute. =3
You normally don't drink tea? =O Its alright though not all of people drink tea as often as me, hehe =P
I hope the chamomile tea your mother brought you helps you sleep, though.
Oh yeah, listening to music as it was referred before helps.
Disposition for feeling blue . . . . . let's get you some green pills!
I actually recently saw an Alanis Morisette cover of Rage Against the Machine's "Guerilla Radio". A lot of people in the comments were quite pissed off about it ("I hate her for ruining this song", etc). I thought it was kinda neat, was all.
I can totally see why you like this particular song, though.

I really like the MM version of Personal Jesus. But I'm just more of a hard rock type person. As far as a-Capella goes, that's a pretty good song. Video's a little weird though. Here, I like this kinda a-Capella: For your viewing pleasure.
Believe it or not, we’re actually not that dissimilar. I’ve also been drifting up later and later because of internet contacts—thought that in itself is an easy fix, so I’m not too terribly worried about it.
So yeah, I was one of those bed-thinkers as well. Still am; I do get the occasional bout of insomnia because I literally cannot shut my head off, so I know exactly what you mean. My parents solved this problem by allowing me to go to sleep with the radio on, so every night for about four years (back in elementary school) I would be lulled by the eleven o’clock jazz hour.
Unless I wasn’t, in which case the New Age music came on right afterwards, which completely weirded me out. But that’s another story. =P
As for the alertness, I am also, to some degree. I can sleep through thunderstorms, trash trucks, construction work, fire alarms; anything outside my room. (I lock my door before I sleep, and there is no key, so nothing outside can get in normally.) But if anything significant changes inside the room, or if the environment changes—say my roommate comes back at five in the morning, which he has done—I will be instantly aware of it and wake up. Which is funny, I suppose, because I have the reputation for sleeping very hard, and I rarely dream.
So yeah, maybe some music might help a little also. If you decide to try, I’d recommend some easy jazz; nothing like Miles Davis or anything bebop. I can fall asleep to pretty much anything now, but easy jazz, E.S. Posthumus, Lunar, and (believe it or not) Nightwish usually work for me.

I have to apologize; it took me until two days ago to realize that "certain event" linked somewhere.
I wish I could empathize. Honestly.
