Oh I'm well aware of the continued drama and Korey being mistaken for a girl. I'm also well aware of the bit about Adam supposedly giving them permission to return. What they forget is that permission to return does not = permission to continue trolling.

The only way their return factors into this mess is that I am less lenient with someone who has been busted before. If they had simply come clean when it was clear that their little 'joke' was genuinely upsetting people, I would have issued nothing more than a warning.

Oh well. I can only hope the lesson is learned this time around, but I'm not holding my breath.

Besides, I consider myself a member first and a mod second. I'm not there just to boot people who are causing a ruckus, I'm there to discuss my interests and have some fun. Quite frankly, even having to deal with someone puts a real damper on the next couple of hours of my day. That's not to say that I won't pull the plug on someone if I'm required to, though. It would be ideal if my services weren't required, but I like to believe that I perform them to the best of my ability.

As for you, Beth, I've said it before and I'll say it again. You clearly do this to the best of your ability as well, and you have much greater ability for this kind of thing than I do. Kudos.

Well Crystia mentioned that this had turned into a spectacle of people having a cow over a member being held accountable for disruptive behavior, but damn girl, I wasn't expecting this much stupidity.

Whatever happened to the golden rule of treating others how you'd like to be treated? Seems like now a days it's the "I didn't do anything rule" when you're caught behaving like an immature and petty child.

It's a pity that members are attacking you instead of appreciating all the hard work and utter nonsense that you put up with as a moderator.

Also, how someone could say they were a guy who was raped, when they are a girl, and then turn around and force attention on someone who didn't want it and claim they were only 'catting' around... think that was acceptable? That is just beyond me.

It's not funny it's not acceptable, it's just sad, pathetic and extremely immature. Especially when instead of apologizing for it, they went on to further insult them implying they had to be on their time of the month or something.

I don't envy you your job Beth, at all.

I've been sitting in my chair for the past twenty minutes trying to put some proper sense together from all of this...and I...it's just...feh.
First off, I just can't believe all the bad choices people are making. All of this stemmed from just one member. There's only so much havoc you can cause as a member on a social/interest site; how determined do you have to be to take it all the way? Not to mention such confrontation like the ones caused are so easy to avoid. Block user, ignore member, creating a different room/private chat, or just take it to another freakin' communication site/program; there's only a thousand of them out there. OR JUST MAYBE, click the inviting little X in the top right corner of your screen. It'd be one thing if they were talking about something intelligent, but 'Giving another member a hug?' Or talking about rape? I never knew rape was such a popular converstation topic. Last I checked, this site is about ANIME, and I really don't see a proper hentai section anywhere.
I've been in plenty (as well as the source of) a heated chat, but this....kinda makes me wonder how their real live conversations go.

The thing is, those rules DO apply to them. However, action can only be taken by someone higher than the mods.
So, if you have a complaint, take it to the higher ups.

I can't say anything will be done about it, but complaining is definitely NOT the option you want to take.
Choose your words carefully. Play fair. Things will happen as long as actions are taken.
