Kudo's to AAA for being the mature and responsible one in that room. Hopefully the ban will get the kids to behave in the future. Though I'm not holding my breath.

That was so uncalled for. I'm glad AAA reported it and that they were banned for such stupid behavior. You can bet that they'll be on my list of people to watch when they're allowed to return. No one should have to put up with being treated like that.

I want to second the thanks to AAA for reporting this one in. I really do wish/hope more members are willing to do this in the future, because a saved chatlog is pretty much a lock in terms of proof for poor member conduct.

It amazes me how people cant respect someone else's opinions, i try my best to do that. But I've felt that type of hostility surprisingly enough from moderators. I feel left out sometimes in conversations and sometimes even made fun of because i make a mistake, And i know how bad it hurts. No one deserves this especially not AAA

I'd classify that as cyber bullying. Music tastes are so subjective, so to tell someone their music sucks and to outright tell them they can't talk about it is uncalled for. You can bet that when the ban is lifted, I'll be keeping an eye on them.

Good job on being as calm as you were AAA. That's never easy to do. Also, don't let idiots like that get to you.

Obviously, the people that were harassing AAA had nothing else better to do. AAA, it's good that you acted polite and calm toward them, it shows you were not like them.

That's so wrong. To pick on someone over what music they like. I'm really glad they turned them in. That kind of thing is so wrong. The whole thing was just so immature and utterly stupid.

What struck me the most was how polite AAA tried to be in spite of the members being so ugly and rude to them. That right there showed quite a bit of maturity on her part.

Anyway, I'm really glad you banned them for a week Beth. I agree with Crystia on that. When someone gets out of line like that, more than a simple slap on the wrist is in order.

Poor AAA she had to put up with such stupid mindless kids. I'm proud of the way she behaved (I would have probably lost it after awhile) and the member who report this.

And Kay is right, I saw it happen once when he gets on, some kids say that. Truly, now is such a stupid thing to bash people's interest like that or any rude remarks about anything to someone like that.

Wow it's nuts but things like that always put me off the idea of using chats ~ Raises eyebrow ~ I hate that people on this site act like that, though is something of a relief they were all in the same house so it is only one group of jerks. I feel sorry for AAA though, I hope she (?) hasn't been put off the site because of those fools. That was terrible. I don't understand why some people think it's okay to act like that.

This is a case of someone actually doing the right thing and reporting what goes on. I hope that other members will follow this one's example.

I've seen the kids on the chat start to gang up on me because I'm a moderator, with statements like "OH NO! The mod is here! No more fun!" or "Crap, Kay's here, we have to behave". I love it more when they make fun of me for being a moderator.

I would expect people to behave regardless of me being there or not, but it seems these kids want to do whatever they want in chat. Which, if it's a room that I'm not in or a private room, then cool. I can't kick what I can't see.

As for the whole "OH NO it's a mod!" thing, I'm really tired of it. I am not stern nor am I not approachable. I'm a person before I'm a moderator. So let's say that Korey put on his serious face and told them to cut it out. Though, unlike AAA's case, they stopped immediately.

But I am saddened that people had to pick on such a nice young lady. Especially when it was on a case of personal preference. I'd have to say I wouldn't be as level headed in such a situation. You handled yourself beautifully, miss.

Well when the week's up, I'll be keeping an eye on those guys. That kind of crap doesn't need to be happening period. I like the week ban from the entire site better than just a temp ban from chat btw. More fitting if you ask me.

This is one of the stupidest things... I mean, I think in our little circle of friends, we tease each other, but it never gets to be something like harassment. This is just ridiculous.
