Yeah D: Soda, Dally and Johnny looked even cooler in my head then in the movie
Oh, The Giver is good 8D To me, it pretty much sums up that 1.There's no such thing as a perfect society and 2.Perfection is dull XD and My Brother Sam is Dead is pretty good, too(probably the one Historical-Fiction book I've ever actually liked so far, the others I've read weren't that great)
She must be crazy :O Mine has the greatest stories to tell(like when he scared his ex-friend and his ex-friend's gf, he and the Social Studies teacher scared the wrestling team and other stuff XD)
I just don't like his name. x3
It was a pretty good book, though. C:
Bahh. I liked the book better because everyone (DALLY) looked different than I thought they would.
I never had to read those books, but my 6th grade librarian reccomended The Giver.
The only book I remember reading in 7th grade is The Outsiders. xD; In 8th grade I read The Pearl by John Steinbeck, Nothing But The Truth by Avi... and other stuff that I can't remember.
MY 8TH GRADE ENGLISH TEACHER WAS INSANE. YOU CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO KNOW HER INSANITY.

yeah her, well i heard something about weaving their fates or they're intertwining with each other like the thread/yarn thingy. I didn't actually read it so yeah. Yes I am a highschooler :O i don't really wanna read it, it's considered an ap book and ap books are ehh to me
but sounds like you made it through X]
I loved Dallas XD Oh gosh, my teacher hates Ponyboy, he's said it a couple of times during class XD Bahh, yeah, overall, I thought the movie was alright(not the original one, though, it cut out too much)
7th grade?! The only books I've read back then were The Giver, My Brother Sam is Dead and a whole book with a whole bunch of stories from Greek mythology in it 8D
I'll agree with you there. xD There's a lot of gruesome and bloody parts of the book when the French Revolution starts. There's a good mystery and other content in the book, though... so it's not so bad. :D And the characters are pretty cool too. xD;
You're talking about Madame Defarge. She actually knits, not weaves. What she's doing is knitting peoples names into her knitted register using a secret code. The names in the register are people (mostly aristocrats) who are to be killed. She is very creepy. 8D;
If you're a highschooler, you'll probably have to read it.

Pshhh. SODA. It's Dally all the way. I remember someone who called Darrel "Duh-rell", with the first syllable being shorter than the other. 8D Er..
It's actually not so bad, it just takes some getting used to. It was really difficult to read at first, but I kind of want to re-read it just so I can understand it better. (but I wont. xD;)
Yup, read that in 7th grade. ;D Dally = most definitely my favorite character. He looked so cool in my mind, but they totally destroyed him in the movie. Brown hair DOES NOT match the platinum blonde hair he had in my mind. x3 I'm not really too fond of any of the couples in the book, though. xD
ME TOO. Well, different things to color. BUT STILL. TOO MUCH.
A tale of two cities is kinda creepy. The acadeca (academic decathlon) theme last year was the french revolution and they had to read it. When I was waiting for my sister with my friend, I was listening and it was weird. My friend said that that one lady who was weaving was creepy. I'll have to read it sometime but I don't really want to o.o
WHOA. WE JUST FINISHED READING THE OUTSIDERS LIKE, 2 DAYS AGO....Sodapop ftw
rofl My teacher is in love with Dally. xD i think she started crying when he died in the movie...
It really was a good book though. :3
and onto Akiohs actual post...
eew. Old English. that stuff makes my head hurt. >>;
The last time I read a book for English class was "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton(I don't know if you've read it or not, but probably have), and good gosh, did I love it(baww, Johnnycakes, Dallas~<3)
I really want to draw some of the characters from that book(mainly Ponyboy and Cherry<3),
But I got my pic of DCC!Shiki and Poketards!Shiki to color in OTL
