Hey there! I haven't seen you in a while. :D Things are going ok for me, ahah. Hope things are going well for you too! Do you still draw often? :o
Yeah like I said, I'm not a huge fan of self-diagnosis personally because I'm not great at evaluating myself... and I don't really expect that I'll act on these considerations;;; And I feel that way too, as long as I can function and do what I need to do, I probably don't need to worry too much. >o</ This kind of thinking mostly came up bc some things just felt off to me during my first part-time job experience earlier this year, but I think I just need more experience doing things outside of school before I decide whether or not it's worth talking to anyone about this;;
Hello moonlit dream, its been a while! I hope everything is going great for you.
I'm no doctor, but self diagnosing doesn't always lead to the most accurate conclusions, haha! But I'll be honest, sometimes I wondered if I wasn't on the spectrum because of some of my weird social behaviors. As long as we can function in society, I don't think it is much to worry about!
I understand why that would be frustrating. It can be weird learning things about yourself that seemed clear with hindsight... LIKE BEING GAY HAHA It's those slow yet somehow sudden realizations that really sneak up on you. But it's not always a bad thing learning about yourself!
AWW thank YOUUU ! ^_^ ♥♥♥ HERE'S TO 10 MORE!! aw geez we're gonna be so old lmao
Nah, that's ok... tbh I don't really anticipate that I'll act on this or see a doctor or anything, I just wanted to write down somewhere that I was at least thinking of this bc it's been kind of frustrating me. :T
Although I was mostly thinking about ASD when I was working earlier this year, where I really had to deal with how underdeveloped my people skills are... there were times where things just felt really off to me, like I wasn't understanding stuff the way I should've been. It could just be I need more practice in the workplace, though? Like I don't doubt that I'll get more comfortable working the more I do it, but idk... between working and 2nd hand accounts from friends/family on how I act, I feel like I'm suddenly noticing that I've struggled a lot with socializing and understanding people throughout my life;; I don't really feel like going into detail, but idk. Maybe I'm just awkward and inexperienced though! Idk.
Glad I'm not alone on the phone call thing tho, ahah;; I really wish I was more interested in keeping in contact with friends/family, but idk... like you said it's can just be awkward. ;u;
And thanks for letting me know about the job thing. :o Somehow I thought that job applications sometimes ask about mental illness/learning disabilities? But I guess you don't need to disclose that.
YEAH.... IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME AHAH;; Next year will be my 10 year otakuversary.... B);;;
Thank you for being my art friend all these years!!! TuT/ ♥ ♥ ♥
ALSO cool that Prosopagnosia is in 999...!! :O I do feel pretty confident that I have that ahaha;; I'm curious to see how it'll come up in the game. :^)

Hmm! I have a couple friends on tumblr who have Aspergers / Autism, if you like I could ask them about your observations or put you in contact with them. ASD does come in a very wide spectrum, so it's not unlikely that you could have it to some degree.
I'm right there with you on the phone call thing. I really dislike making calls, especially ones to my grandparents...I know it means a lot to them to hear from me but it always feels so awkward! And then I feel bad because of how I feel. I usually only call my parents when I need something lol. Anyway just letting you know I can relate ../
Random side note-- It's interesting you mentioned the face blindness thing, that comes up in the 999 game I was telling you about the other day! I think it's called Prosopagnosia.
And about employers, ASD is not something you need to disclose. It's against the law to discriminate that sort of thing anyway. I think in some places it might even be illegal for them to ask about it?? But I might be wrong about that o: There are some places that seek out autistic / Asperger artists, so that might actually be an opportunity if you so choose! I'll drop some links here if you're interested--

Oh, and don't worry about me thinking differently of you! No matter whether you have ASD or not, you're still my art friend whom I love very much :) OH GEEZ I JUST REALIZED WE'VE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR LIKE... 10 YEARS.............. THAT'S PRETTY COOL...B)

Oh, that's good to hear. :o I don't know a whole lot about applying for jobs and jobs in general tbh;;
And thanks for the offer! I don't think there's anything pressing that I'm thinking about and want to talk about at the moment, but I'll let you know... If you're more knowledgeable about this topic than me and think there's stuff I should know about, you're welcome to message me first ahaha;;
If you do get diagnosed with ASD, you do not have to disclose it on a job application. It's always tricky with jobs because if you disclose something, the employer isn't allowed to discriminate, but they can find excuses.
You're not obligated to do this, but if you want to talk more about this subject, feel free to PM me.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
