So it's ACTA. Look I really dont give two shits or a fuck, I just want this like everybody else to go the fuck away. It's bad enough that a majority of the world hates us, let's not give them even more of a reason to despise us more
Yea but that was just SOPA. There's PIPA and the little heard of ACTA. From what I've seen on some sites, people are already starting to clean house and delete stuff. Maybe I'm just being paranoid and freaking out like so many others and nothing will happen...for now at least.
That would blow, but I don't think SOPA will pass, at least not now. It was scheduled to be re-voted on in Feb, but with all the massive protesting it's been put on the shelf for now... it's consideration is being postponed until "there is wider agreement on a solution." lol, which means they didn't expect millions of people to start protesting at them. Who knows, maybe they will rewrite it at some point, but I don't think it's a threat for the immediate future. Not with the website blackout day and Google's like, 7 MILLION signature petition.
Saw the link you posted, nice. Saw the 1st epi of BH last night and I'm starting to watch epi 2 right now. I'm trying to hit them up now and fast before they get taken down by the government.
I was never very thrilled about that ending lol. Loved the series as a whole too, but never cared for the series ending either. But still good in it's own way. ^_^
LOL, and I guess I've posted you a bunch of stuff to watch! 2 AMVs and that OVA.
hahaha ok. I'll do just that. I just finished the movie. I loved it. Kind of sad that Winry and Ed dont get together, though I'm sure that's how it is in the book. But a heartwarming ending, Al and Ed finally being together and Al getting all his memories.
Speaking of which, one of the best ova's ever. It's only like 20 minutes long I think, so you should give it a try! It's a short snippet of Roy and Maes from the war in Ishval and how they met, so there's really no spoilers since everyone kinda knows they were there lol and that specifically wasn't shown in the series.
Well after Hughes dies, like right after the 5th laboratory fighting, is where Brotherhood and the original series divides. So no, Roy doesn't get his eye shot out, he burns a few out by boiling the fluid inside... lol, but his own are just fine.
The manga was still be wrote at the time and after the anime caught up with it, the writers made their own story and went with it. They didn't even know who all the humunculi were lol.
Brotherhood was a remake like this last year or so, whenever ish, that follows strictly the manga storyline. And I am soooooo glad they remade it too!!! Best FMA fangasm stuff ever. They timed it perfectly too last year! Cause the manga finally came to and end, and like a few weeks later Brotherhood did too. So the manga JUST finished in time to make BH. One good thing, is there is no filler whatsoever in BH, straight story.
You mean in BH, he doesn't have that patch? I know from what I've seen in the AMV, that he kills Lust. I know that much. And of course now there's a 2nd movie so I wonder if this one is a true sequel to FMA, following BH
I have that DVD, lol so yeah I still love it hehe. Although Roy with an eye patch pisses me off. It is kinda sexy in a way... but I'd rather in not be there.
And since you have me in an FMA mood now... I'll share my fav vid!
I'm watching the movie right now and it's a good thing I just finished the show. Everything is still fresh and I was able to smoothly get right into the movie
Oh yeah, my icon is a shot of Roy during Ishbal from Brotherhood. The first thing you'll probably notice is the animation jump lol. Cause boy is BH pretty.
That and BH is new enough I think you can just watch the whole thing off Youtube, FUNimation, or Hulu lol, they all have the show last time I checked.

Yay for finishing! Don't get me wrong, I really do like the original FMA, I loved it even back in the day. It's just the characters, and how they are portrayed in the manga and BH is more to my liking.
Wait until you see how much of a hard ass Mustang REALLY is lol. They make him a little too wishy washy in the original FMA, and that especially, is just not to my liking as much. Mustang is a very intense character that does what he has to to make things come out his way, he reacts without hesitation, and can be a bit merciless at times. Basically, he IS a soldier. And very driven to get to his goal. I just don't like that they played around with his character in the first one so much... making him suicidal and leaning heavily on alcohol for support... when he's not, either one of them, suicidal or alcoholic lol.
They made Al a little too pussy at times too when his character isn't at ALL. He's kind of useless a lot of times in the first one, when in reality Al can kick as much ass as Ed. I mean, just wait, he can hold his own against a state alchemist AND a homonculus, at the same time.
The best thing about the original series is the episode where Mustang kicks Ed's ass around the field in the alchemy duel. Now that IS like Roy to bring Ed down to size if the situation calls for it... and enjoy it LOL.
I finally did it! Just finished FMA today and I'm starting to watch the movie right now. I loved it! I know your say Brotherhood is way better cuz it follows the book more but still the entire thing was so awesome. I'm shocked that I've known of FMA for such a long time but didn't even bother to check it out the instant I found I could watch shows online. Thank you so much for suggesting and putting that fire under me. Seriously you have to give me more suggestions. It would appear we share the same tastes in shows. That makes, what, 3 shows you suggested to me thus far (Firefly, FMA and Hellsing. O and that other one you put on that I have to watch. The one with Son Goku and the other 3 guys. Starts with an S).
No they would've found a way to fuck it up royally. The TV studios have proven time and time again that when it comes to SCI-FI, they don't know dick. The only show I can think of that came off great was Battlestar Galatica. Lost had such potential....and was piss on at the end. I loved the ending, but hated that the Island was never really explained or how it all truly got to that point as far as the end. They kind of shot themselves in the foot there though. They put a point as far as the end was concerned and when it came close, they just started writing stuff and just didn't bother to answer all of the answers. Didn't realize that the show was meant for us to try and figure out and not that all our questions would finally be answered.
Of course. I loved the whole concept of alt worlds and it was a good show. Once again, a show that was mistreated and trashed that could've done so much more.
You said it. Really, the characters of Quinn and the professor made that show, I think. Remmy and Wade were cool too, and worked with the others, but neither of them had the, how would you say, presence? To hold the show together.
And may I say, it's AWESOME to find another Sliders fan!
I agree, I didn't mind Maggie too much, and it was okay with Quinn's brother, but they just kept mucking up after that too much. I stopped watching after a while. I kind of refuse to watch Sliders without Quinn.
Yeah, FOX blows. They canceled Sliders and the fans made such a stir that they brought it back. Although it did eventually get moved to Scifi, and that's when it started going down hill, in my opinion anyway. I have the first three seasons of that on DVD, I loved old school Sliders! And well, for the ladies, Quinn Mallory is one of the hottest TV characters ever lol.
You probably don't remember it, but I had a Quinn Mallory icon for a long time lol. It was him leaning back in the chair from the episode where they were all wearing the hippie clothes haha.
So true. I have yet to see any other franchise that had such a following. I know Trek had something like that back in the day and it's very funny how it's been quiet sometime since there was any Trek on TV. Don't get me wrong, TV Trek was good but for me it was getting rather boring. I loved Next Gen. But a show that has a following like Firefly? Maybe Chuck. It's been on the verge of being canceled and yet toughed it out. Sliders? Taken off FOX and put on Sci-Fi and actually lasted for a while. That's all I can think of. FOX really sucks anyway. How in the hell can you cancel America's Most Wanted? Seriously?! A show that makes sure you know your neighbor isn't on the run for killing an entire bus full of kids and nuns and he's the one that's been babysitting your 6yo?! What the hell man.
No kidding. Canceled shows don't usually get made into a major motion picture... so stick that where it doesn't shine FOX! The Firefly community is so loyal... and so vocal lol. But it really is an awesome fanbase to belong too. The fans who loved it, love it so much and have stayed loyal to the show, and even the actors really enjoyed doing the show and have supported it a lot since it went off air and have been so appreciative of the fans. So really, the Browncoat community is really a gem.
well Firefly was always on my list on Netflix...I just went and watched other stuff and it got lonely and cold. I had wanted to watch it after seeing the movie. I don't remember the movie much but do know that I had wanted to give the show a try based on my liking of the movie. And it's damn good of a show. But that goes to show you how some shows are boring and stay on for too long and some that are good, get canceled. Terminator was like that. I didn't quiet catch it when it was out and on, but I've seen it on Netflix and rather-ed enjoyed it. But the powers that be decided to cancel it for whatever reason and it just sucks
I'm still on the original FMA. I wanted to at least finish that one before starting Brotherhood. I'm up to epi 30 something.
