I dunno, this movie was made for hardcore fans and it's obvious, you can't watch it without knowledge of the previous films since you'd end up confused and extremely bored, so it's a good thing you know the others. I gave it a low grade because I wasn't satisfied with it, as a long-time Saw fan ._.
No, definitely rent it, it's not worth spending so much on it >_< And Saw IV had an awesome twist, what with happening simultaneously with Saw III, never would've seen that coming!
Lol. Well, I am not reading this simply because I don't want to know anything about it...I am still going to watch it regardless, though I'm sure it won't be as good as the other ones (4 and 5 are my faves)...especially since you gave this only 3 stars lol. Wow. XD Well, haha...I am still going to see it eventually. Maybe not buy it...just rent it lol.
Meh, consider me a purist, but the first three were the best of the bunch, even though the others had highlights as well. It just wasn't the same series after the first trilogy and it kinda dragged on until, well, you see where it got >_>
Naw, bad gore isn't bad at all when it's fun, but they were taking it seriously here. And the original Saws had less gore and were more cringe-worthy (in one of them, a guy snaps his ankle using a toilet lid, the floor and his hands, then crawls through a few long corridors). Even Scary Movie had better gore than this. Pink blood and flying intestines, for crying out loud! D:
Get drunk and have a Saw marathon with one or a few friends, it'll be kickass :D
Wow, there are 7 movies? I think I stopped the count at the 2nd.
To be honest I don't really mind the bad gore, I mean, I watch Japanese movies (sometimes). The Japanese are geniuses of animation but make horrible movies. Tokyo Gore Police for example, it's so fake and laughable, so whatever gore is in this Saw, it can't be that bad.
I was shocked by the public execution. I mean really?! You are right, the key point of Saw is the claustrophobic despair. Can't believe they ruined it... Well, I'll use this as an excuse to get really drunk XD
