WATCH MEN

okay okay some of you are probably in love with watch men the graphic novel
I unfortunately did not have the ability to read the novel i will this weekend but my dad did and when we watched it he said it was pretty much word by word there was only maybe one section that had maybe switched a little but everything was the same, p.s. BLUE PENIS EVERYWHERE, okay that i was NOT starring at but my dad none the less accuses me of doing so, i just think if your focused on his face and his eyes SO shiny SO blue you cant see anything else, okay one thing i have to say, the sex on the ship thing arti, IT WAS TOO MUCH, WE got the point that your doing it you dont need to keep on going, it reminded me of a similar scene in the movie 300.

I HAVE TO SAY -----> OH MY GOD THE MUSIC, okay it was music that fit in with the time zone they were in but holly bejezuz COME ON at least play music that fit with what you were looking at !!!
it didnt fit at all it was just so starnge, i felt i was watching a movie with a guy near me playing his playlist in a certain order that made no sense.

other then that the movie was pretty good

This is Iziouys Dad, and I will post a few points here then its off to bed..Yippie. Ok as she stated, BLUE PENIS, enough said, and yes I know she was starring at it...LMAO...J/K. Ok, personally I read the book and it was true to form, some of the opening stuff they elaborated on a bit more than the book, however they didnt go into much detail about the minute men, which the book did. Personally, I found the book boring, too much politics involved and not enough super hero stuff, and the movie held true to that as well. I found myself falling asleep at parts, and my daughter had to nudge me to wake up, no I am no that old....LOL, I just like to have a storyline that holds my interest. There were some awesome fight scenes but you had to wait until the last 30 minutes of an almost 3 hour movie to get it. Overall, it wasnt my thing, I enjoyed watching parts of it, while others I could have done without. Overall, I am happy that I seen it in the theatres, but I doubt I would want to watch it again on video, unless they added a bunch more stuff, then I would watch out of curiosity. So, I say if you are going to spend your 15 bucks, why not, at least you get your monies worth in time, other than that, I cannot give this film more than 2.5 stars, it just didnt do it for me.

He's Just Not That Into You

Izioy's Dad here again. And yes we made this a double movie night, because we generally have no Life...LOL J/K...Ok, from the moment we both seen the comming attractions of this movie we wanted to see it, probably for different reasons. I have always had a secret crush on Drew Barrymore, So I try and see the movies she is in. The only thing dissappointing in this was that she wasnt a main star. Ginnifer Goodwin (WHO?)right? Scarlet Johannson, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Connelly were the main story lines. However Ms. Goodwins performance as GIGI was awesome!!! I have to say she was extremely funny, and had such a certain way about her that made you believe in the character. We all know the guys in this movie, so I wont go boring you with my opinions about them, except, Kevin Connolly, who actually went to high school in Patchougue, with my ex-wife. Needless to say, this was the ultimate CHICK flick, and if you are a guy, you may say to yourself, HELL NO, but hey, I learned a long time ago that to understand a woman, you must make the sacrafice of seeing these types of movies. The best thing is, that this movie has everything well accept action and violence.

The story line was great, and it also allowed men to understand how a woman thinks a little bit, just by the words that we say. It is true that even though we try to be sincere about letting people down, it sometimes leaves a sense of false hope. The movie did a great job in describing some of these scenarios.

Infedelity, hey it happens, life goes on, but many people generally blame the guy for their careless ways, and I have to say that this movie defends the male point to an extent. Then all else goes to Hell.

It touches on the fears of committed relationships as well, and why some men just dont see the point. Personally, I prefer to be in a relationship, especially committed, not because I have kids of my own, but the cost of taking a girl or woman out on dates is killer. Not to mention, you deal with so many personalities it is exhausting to keep up with. OH and the most important things, the Crazy ones!!!!!

Then we have the guy, who wants the girl, but she isnt that into him, but keeps him hanging around anyway. It is a sad portrayal of how men can hold onto something for so long in hopes that things turn in around in your favor. If you are one of those people, you should slap yourself in the face repeatedly, until you realize, there are better people out there that will care for who you are.

Other than that, I dont want to give away too much of the movie, and plus Izioy will want to comment shortly.

Thanks.

Hello ello here its izioy!
okay so like i mentioned in my personal world i've been dying to see this movie since christmas

Oh jezuz, it was one of the funniest movies i've ever seen i mean i've seen funnier but its deffinetly in the top 20 !

okay so my dad basically explained the WHOLE movie to you LMAO
but he didnt mention the fact that hes a guy who didnt act the way Gigi acted
Jez i have to that she portrayed a great female character
us girls have always obsessed over guys, the spark, the signs
oh my gosh stalking those guys, being afraid of rejection
she just had a whole pot full of truth ! thats just how some girls really are
i know i was like that in 6th grade it was pretty funny

i seriously love the way this movie played out
the sequence of it all
how each relationship between the people actually intertwined
how all these relationships are just like the ones in real life
and all the characters are seriously out there in this world
this movie had it all
usually movies can only handle having one of the relationships but nope this one had it all it was soooooo good it was worth every penny in my pocket
=]

PLEASE GO SEE THE MOVIE !

PUSH

wow!!!!!!
hello i never expected it to be that good
the music wasnt really that great (it didnt make you feel suspence)
but other then the music, the acting , the plot , the whole idea of the movie
was really good.
one thing i have to say is that well the beginning was a little shaky
where its just vague and all there is, is narration but it keeps you a little bit empty
but with everything else filling up the gaps it keeps your attention
truly it was a good movie, over all i went thinking it was gonna be okay probably a dissapointment
but all the planning and different unexpected events just gave you that satisfaction.
i'm looking at Dakota Fanning totally differently, i honestly was a little afraid i wouldnt like this movie because she was in it but the thing is that shes really changed totally better then i expected.

this movie was all about people with paranormal skills which thankfully have the easiest names to remember, totally basic, keeps you in the loop
WATCH IT -----Really REALLY good.

This is Izioy dad, we seen this movie together, and I too was taken back by how good this movie was. Personally I wasnt expecting anything spectacular, the trailers didnt look believalbe, nor that exciting. However, once into the movie, you start to get a better feeling for the characters and their struggles.

I thought the acting was better than expected, and the story line moved along, but as Izioy said, the music was pretty bad. You never felt on the edge of your seat waiting for something to happen, it just happend. I thought the special effects were good, and the fighting scene at the end was pretty decent as well, however they could of done a bit more with it.

Overall, I give this movie 3.5 stars, I felt they could have developed the main characters a bit more, they did for only one of them, but this story had stories within stories, that never seemed to fit, you needed to use a bit of your imagination. Such as Dakota Fannings character, they never showed how she came to be, which could have helped a bit with the story line. It did leave a small window for a conclusion to this, and I bet they will wait to see how it does financially in the theatres before they decide to make a sequal.

My recommendations is go see the movie, it is worth the money, and will keep you entertained.
