Oh haha, well it sure is hard, but if you have enough will for it, it can go. :)
French is a nice language. I have learned next to my main language in school, English, German and Latin. LoL, I think that I will be a little now confused with new added Japanese to the list. xD
As I said, I definitely will! I am glad that you already pretty much know it here and that you would be willing to show and help in any way. Thanks again in advance. :)
Haha, well other than languages, I also research history and geography. I spent years learning those and I seriously always have feeling that I know more that professors. XD I just love it, especially now geography (since from history I pretty much learned anything that I was interested in lol). I research all countries, their culture, military, size, specification and everything. I can tell almost everything for any country in the world, lol.
I know, I am weird, but that's how I like to spend my free time when I go to school. :)
But you mentioned murder.. Well that's interesting as well. You see, murders are very connected with history in some way. Like assassins, I loved reading about them. So I know how that can be interesting, definitely do continue reading what you like.^^
So you already have some translations and projects in mind?! You.are.awesome! :D Seriously, you have no idea how I respect people like you. There are so many games (especially older ones) that never were released outside of Japan and any fan translation is always very helpful. :)
Haha, well friends come first, right? xD Definitely help her, I know how a fan can be waiting for her doujinshi. xD
Oh, so you know already about thousand kanji? :O Impressive! I know only near 50 lol, but I am learning it only for about two three weeks next to other things of course.
Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you, is there some specific order you recommend for learning them? I have figured out some connections between them, but still I have to look more into that.
By now I was learning all kind random kanji and mostly were quite hard to learn.
Then I found a list based on the one that Japanese children study in school, listed by grades. So should I go with that one, or just continue learning random but the most used ones, or you have something else to suggest?
Please do!It is a little bit of a passion of mine, and I love teaching others to have the same passion! :3 Even though it is really difficult, all the intricacies are so interesting and beautiful in their own way. :)
Hahaha the only thing I research is murderers. XD I have an obsession with reading articles about serial murderers and child murderers and all sorts of creepy stuff. @__@ Sometimes I spend hours a day on wikipedia reading articles lol!
I'm considering helping out with the fan translation of Gyakuten Kenji 2, since it's not going to be released in English :( But they seem really unorganized and I don't want to get into that mess XD Maybe I will translate some of the other games I am getting instead (Corpse Party :3 ) since those translations seem dead. XD
I have my hands full with doujinshi now though @__@ She keeps buying new ones and is immediately super excited and I want to translate for her but it takes time hahahaha.
But yeah! Feel free to ask me anything! I'm at the point in my study now where it's basically solely Kanji study, but I'm really bad at Kanji so it's hard! D: I know several hundred ~ thousand though, so I should be able to help you with yours :3
Good Luck! Keep your journal updated with your progress :3 Im interested!
Aw, sorry that you had one. I tried to write it the simpler I could. I guess not enough. xD But hey, like I wrote here (and I remembered when writing this that you will take those classes) you will have classes later of Japanese, so you don't have to use your free time and break for it like I have. I wish we had some school or anything similar here, but sadly knowing that we have at most 500 Japanese in whole country, I guess they don't consider putting it to be learned here, LoL!
But good luck with it next year and I do hope that you will even learn far more than me.^^
Hey, thank you for writing all that. I had fun trying to read and translate some parts!^^
Oh, seriously?! That's amazing! Thank you very much for your offer, I definitely will ask any questions that I have. Yes, it is quite hard learning it alone, but I don't have another choice. But I am used on learning things myself and I know how to make plans and give myself enough motivation to learn it. (I also learn and research many other things, so you get used to it)
But still, when language comes in question, I am always left with many questions that need answers. So thank you very much for your offer. I will definitely remember that.
YaY, you see, it will always comes in handy to help you friends with that. :D
Hey, you could even work at some organizations who translate mangas, animes or video games that still haven't or never have been released outside of Japan. And who knows, maybe one day even for money.^^
I am using several ones, but this one is one of the best, because it has some simpler lectures and also mostly of most used kanji. It also has tests and such.
The only problem is that it is hard to navigate through it to find everything. Good luck with it~! HERE is the link.
All of that... Literally made my eyes spin. @.@ *points* Like that face right there. XD But wow, good for you that you are actually getting somewhere in trying to learn(: I just really have no time between trying to have a social life, summer school, cards, writing stories, reading, keeping up with anime, and all the other pointless things I do in my life! Hehe, hopefully when I take Japanese next year, I'll be able to learn more without getting a major headache. Gombatte kudasai(:

Oh! Good luck with your Japanese language study!
I am majoring in Japanese language and am in my fourth year of college studying it, so if you have any questions, you are welcome to ask me!
Isn't it hard to study just by yourself? I'm always so lazy, so when I don't have class I don't ever really want to study XD ...
But this summer I am translating a bunch of doujinshi for my best friend, Maki. It's almost like I am her doujinshi slave!
