Simple - because we have not a profile subject (like Maths or English).

Oh, computer engineering! That's it! >w< I've chosen that faculty too xDD But I hope to enter the "Computer science" faculty ^_^

We haven't such exams 'cause we have had national testation (independent external assessment) :D And due to the results of this testation we can find out, can we enter this or that university ^_^
And we must write the application letter and give the universiry all the copies of all necessary files... Later, we're waiting for the 1-st of August to find out if we are accepted for university :D

Even if you are closer, you are still a bit different than our school system. :3

Here some colleges (or faculties like we say) have entrance exams and some not (depends on the level of it). I am going to a technician branch, electrician engineering and computer programming, so that's why I have. If I chose some other college in that category like the standard informatics technologies I wouldn't have one.
