Prologue
To kill, to torture, to play. To scare, to destroy and obey.
The only people who matter are yourself and the one you obey.
Ever since I was "born" those words have been cruely and ruthlessly beaten into my mind. Those words were all I knew. The were the ground rules for who I was supposed to be.
Back then, I had no choice. I was ignorant and didn't know any better.
I didn't know of human antics and emotions such as love or loss.
It wasn't my fault, however, that I didn't know that a human life was indeed more than "a mere toy".
But just as animals can be tamed, so can demons.
Yes, even the spawn of hell and the devil himself can be tamed.
That day, when the cursed collar that dragged me down to the level of a savage animal was destroyed and my "father" was sealed away in the one and only place he belonged, I threw the demon mantra to the Hollows and reclaimed my rightful hold on my humanity.
That day, Daygon ceased to exist, and Toshiro Hitsugaya was reborn into the world as he should have been in the first place: child prodigy, boy genius, wielder of the strongest ice-snow type zanpaku-to in the Soul Society, and Captain of the Tenth Court Guard Squad.
Or so I thought.
As it turns out, you are who you are. Even if you despise the person you were fated, or created, to be.
And so Heaven and Hell shall begin their war.
Neither can destroy the other...
...and only one shall reign.
Such is the fate of angels and demons.

(A/N) Alright. So here's the prologue for my take on Frostgem from Fanfiction.net's The Blood Prince. I hope you take time to read the original. It's not finished yet, but it's still very good. See ya!
