So I'll start with my drops.
In the end I dropped Amagi Brilliant Park for the fact that I just can't get into the characters, the sometimes misplaced humor and the sometimes forced drama.
As for Ronja, as my friend Caprisha said in her reveiw, it's like a PBS kids show and one that I just can't get excited for the coming episodes of. From what I have read, I thing this might get 26 eps and that is just too much given what I've watched so far.
Now lets get to the Actions.
To start with, to replace the two other shows I decided to pick up one a friend of mine kept telling me to watch. Fate/Stay Night. I had, long ago, originally watch the first TV release and because of it's lack of redeeming qualities, was really hesitant to watch any show related to the franchise again. But he dropped me his copies of Fate/Zero, the prequel series and I loved the hell out of it. So...
The animation quality is way above the original TV series, the writing is so much more fluid and the characters so less ridged. There is a lot of info downloads given the massive amount of mythology the series holds but it has been laid out well and each episode excels at making me want to see more. From what I've read, this version is a different route from the base game. One that supposedly has more potential to be cool as long as they keep up this level of writing and animation.
Next is Chaika:
So far, this season it turning out to have the potential to be better than the first. The character development and interactions continue to evolve in a direction that I think shows that even with a somewhat typical plot layout, with good writing the show can still be really good. What I've really liked in recent episodes is learning about who and what the Chaikas really are and watching the shows main Chaika as she deals with her own feelings and beliefs about the revelations.
And now Payasite:
The animation continues to strut its stuff in the action sequences and the way Migi expresses itself. As for where the story is going, I am really intrigued. With episode 5, the main character's life is really flipped upside down. Between his parents and the other parasites, he has had almost no rest. And now, with the out come of episode 5, he is changing and not just in a mental sense. I like.
