I am, though I haven't traveled as much as I'd like due to conflict within the family. My dad will go anywhere and do anything just as long as he gets to see cool stuff. My mom, on the other hand, hates traveling, does not want to go far, and doesn't like the historical sites and national parks that my dad likes to see. She'd prefer to be in a resort, relaxing. My brother will go anywhere, but the fighting makes him anxious. But anyway, I'm sure that I'll be able to stay online while I'm with my cousins. They rely on the Internet as much as I do.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
Thank you! I won't be home much longer though. I'm going to my aunt's wedding, then away with my cousins, and then college. Hopefully I'll still have internet access. I missed it while I was in Mexico.

Thats some awesome description. Now I cant wait to go there I must start praying and of course save some money. I must go. The place you mentioned sounds amazing. I bet you didnt wanna come back ^^
Okay. We took a bus to Chichen Itza, some really cool Mayan ruins where you can go on a tour and then just explore the site and buy some Mayan things like jewelry (apparently Mexico is famous for silver and a lot of their stuff is real silver. It's also famous for tequila, but I don't really recommend that so much.) Then, the best part of our day--the bus took us to a cenote, which is an underground pond in a cave. Ours was really freaking cool, the water was a crystal-clear turquoise and there was a small hole in the ceiling with a waterfall pouring through, and tons of peaceful little fish. We got to go swimming in the cenote, and that was awesome. Unfortunately, you can no longer climb the ruins of Chichen Itza (if you want ruins you can climb I might suggest Altun Ha or Lamanai in Belize, though they're smaller). We also went on these littlr boats that took us to Isla Mujeres (Island of Women) and the boats themselves were so cool. We went snorkeling on the reef (but we had to buy biodegradable sunscreen to protect the dying environment) and there was a net strung across the front of the boat. If you wanted, you could sit right in the net and get splashed by the waves as the boat hit them. They also did this truly AWESOME thing with the sail, where they made a makeshift seat out of a towel. Then, if you want to, they put you in the towel-seat and let the sail take you way up in the air. They swing you all around, then you jump when they tell you to. If you chicken out on jumping, they let the sail drop so you still fall in the water. I was the first to volunteer for this because I'm crazy. You have to be at least eighteen to do it, but if you look old enough (or lie and say you're eighteen) they won't check. On the island, we could eat, swim, and go shopping. I think the boat company name was Albatross if you're interested. Finally, we went to an eco park called Xcaret, which, again, was truly awesome (again, we needed biodegradable sunscreen to protect the environment. If you go there I might also recommend bug spray). They had a series of underground rivers you could swim through, lots of wild animals to observe, and so on. At the end of the day there's a Mayan show that's supposed to be spectacular, but I didn't see it. There's a beach to go swimming and lots of chairs and benches around the place for relaxing. There's also a small section of the park full of hammocks tied to palm trees. There's a small Mayan village where you can look at ruins and buy real Mayan crafts like clothes, jewelry, and bracelets. There's a small aquarium and a butterfly habitat, which is really awesome. The butterfly room is a huge room made to look like a jungle and open to the sky so sunlight can get in. It has a waterfall and a series of multi-level walkways and if you're lucky you might get a butterfly to land on your finger. It's a really cool place.
Sorry to write you a novel here. Anyway, those are my recommendations. Two quick warnings: be careful of water. If you can, buy bottled water. If you are served water, make sure to ask if it is filtered. If you stay in a hotel, ask if their tap water is safe. And be extremely careful of ice cubes, although lots of places now filter their ice water too. My second warning is of tourist salespeople. They can be like sharks in some places: when they sense that you like something, they will pounce on you and do whatever they can to get you to buy something. It may seem rude, but unless you have shopping in mind, it's best to say "Gracias, pero no" (thanks but no) and just keep walking. If there is something you really do want, you can negotiate prices with them. Most tourist places are fine with taking American money as well as pesos.
Sorry for making you read all that, and I hope you reach Mexico someday! If you do, let me know where you went and what you did there, because I'm always looking for new places to go.
