Well, I prefer other animals, actually, although I don't hate every cat. I prefer other pets that will be more loyal to their owners. It's been proven again and again that most cats are not.

It depends on the cat. Mine can be kinda evil. Plus, she and I are both allergic and we get really sick, which is why the cat isn't allowed in my room. She actually can't come to my house anymore because she gets really sick just from coming inside.
