Yeah. Although the advantage of being an English major is that I end up buying a lot of books that I may actually enjoy and use later. But regarding many of my more expensive, thick textbooks, you are right. I will need them maybe ten or so times this semester, then never again. Yay.

They are, and it's ridiculous. This is our future, and they're sending us into it with our bank account numbers negative. How are we supposed to take charge of the future in that situation?

Just bought a paperback for $150, but luckily I found it used so I'm returning and saving a few bucks :)
