I was for a while! I wish I'd grown up with people who didn't 'gender stereotype' because then each gender misses out on a lot of cool stuff. Like, I missed out on a lot up until my brother was born, but yeah, he got into Pokemon, and he had a lot of the gameboy games and pokemon cards. So I'd play with him.

Well, I wouldn't want anyone to suffer...but imagine how relieved people would feel if they thought they had a really bad secret and then realized that lots of people have the same one?

I suppose that's true. It's just that I know my parents are going to take offense when I don't want to be around them. They don't understand that they make me anxious. That being anxious takes up stamina and so I have to build up stamina before I can be around them. That said stamina is quickly depleted, especially during arguments or the discussion of topics that have been sensitive subjects in the past. Which can come up at any minute, and which I have to anticipate, which takes up stamina.
And this constant anxiety is detrimental and unhealthy, so I prefer to be away from it as much as possible.
And they get offended because I talk more easily to others than to them and I'm like "Well...yeah...because I've never been stuck in a passive-aggressive and unhealthy relationship with any of them."
And I've seen a lot of my friends with their families and I'm like "Oh. So that's how a healthy family interacts."

Oh wow, that really is soon! Are you sharing a place or living alone? I'm sure it will be a good change for you ^^ and having your own place to decorate/arrange your stuff in is pretty fun!
First of all, congrats On getting your own place! That is big! I can understand about being on your own for the first time. Its certainly something to celebrated. Good luck on your future! :D
