I don't have a DeviantArt. With all the college stuff going on in my life right now I'm not really sure I'd have the time for one, but maybe I'll start one after college.

Yeah, I've found that a lot of people from the older generations have a harder time understanding that some people identify as a gender other than the one they were assigned at birth. They also tend to follow gender roles more strictly. I was talking about that with my mom, because we were on the subject of my childhood and my brother's. My dad absolutely panics at the slightest signs of nonconformity. My mom and I were talking about my elementary school years, when my brother and I used to stay at an after-school program while our parents worked. One day, they were doing nail painting there, and my brother and I both had ours done. My dad absolutely panicked and rushed us out of there to get the nail polish off. He claims he was just afraid the nail polish would get my brother teased (which is stupid in itself, I think, because it's important to support your kids in what they do rather than teaching them that it's their fault if they're bullied) but another time, when we were very young, I dressed him up in one of my old dresses (he was too little then to care what he was wearing) and my dad panicked at that too. My mom claims to be better about it, but there was a time she didn't want to buy me a toy that she had been considering getting for my brother because "that's a science-y toy, that's really more of a boy thing, isn't it?" *cue sighing*
There's so many useless norms centered around societal gender roles. I do think that's changing, but not enough.

Yeah, I'd say keep him on. I'd enjoy reading that! (And doing the interactive stuff too.) I'm glad your parents are supportive of the transition, although I would think your relatives should be able to accept that too. But ultimately, if and when you tell them is up to you.
Do you think you're going to choose a new name or keep the old one? Just wondering. And wishing you the best of luck. Hope Hawaii is fun!

It definitely sucks when technology doesn't work the way it should, especially if they charged a lot of money for it. (My workplace is currently complaining about that. We got this new, extremely high-tech soda machine and we spend half our time trying to fix the thing. It breaks down almost daily.)
I'd definitely read each chapter, and interact if you still planned to make it an interactive story. (Might have to notify me about each update. I've been spectacularly bad at concentrating/remembering these past few months. Suspect it has to do with increased work hours.)
I would read the Tales of Starlight thing too. (And I didn't know you were planning to transition. Congratulations!)

Thank you very much, I am doing a lot better now and I will get through all this stuff. It won't be fun, but I'll get though it. And I'll definitely try to take better care of myself in the future. It's been a while since I've talked to you, but I hope you're well.

It has been three days since you posted this, I hope that you are a little better now..
Personally, I also try to work with the way of forcing myself to do things, even though sometimes there are better alternatives. It is a better, more respectful way of life, but we still sometimes need to stop and look around us and decided what is the best course of action. Of course our wisdom can only tell that much, it doesn't have to be right, but postponing this and taking them slowly can sometimes be a right answer. Similarly how sometimes a general needs to make a hard decision to retreat in order to be able to fight for another day.
I do like how you ended the post. You are strong and I know that you will manage to go through those problems.
That's a good point. Even now, I've heard all kinds of good ideas that never went through. I'm not sure how credible internet sources are, but I heard of a couple working on the idea of solar-panel-covered roads. Apparently the material they had developed could be "textured" to give cars sufficient traction, could be made strong enough not to break even under the weight of trucks, and wouldn't wear down as quickly as pavement. Not only that, but they could be 'programmed' like screens, so rather than having painted-on lines, the panels could have changeable designs. But they didn't get the funding they needed, which is a shame, because solar-panel highways would have been really cool and might have fixed a lot of problems.

Yeah, that's why. I'm so sorry, I've been really overwhelmed lately, and then I got sick. And as soon as I was better, a whole bunch of other people got sick, and so I had to cover their shifts too. Yeah, so many people just push others to the emotional (or physical) brink and then resent them when they can't keep going. I've come to expect it so much that it's a surprise when people give me a break.
You could be right about the flying cars, though it occurs to me that midair crashes would be a disaster.

Hadn't seen that video. I was just remembering something I'd heard a while ago, but yeah, I guess it does sound too good to be true.
