That was creepy. And I'll probably have nightmares tonight because of it, haha.
Anyways, the meaning depends on what sleep stage you were in. REM or normal.
Normal is your brain processing things/events from the day, and trying to help commit to memory things you've learned. Normal also is replaying fragments of memories.
REM is taking things you've learned and memories and almost trying to create a future in your mind. It a series of training courses almost. Your brain is trying to train you of how to react in certain situations. REM also is a playback of full memories, however many of them are distorted. It also things you're worried about.
You said this is reoccurring, when you first had the dream was it triggered by anything you read or watched? After you woke up did you think about it a lot, thus committing it to memory?
You also tend to dream about things you think about just before bed. Were you worried about having a nightmare like this? That may have triggered it.
These are all theories of course, and non of them are proven. However, many scientists agree on those theories.
Well, why not be cautious with the signs. Dreams are connected to our subconscious no? No harm in giving it some thought. And here's hoping it's no precursor for anything. I'm sure it will stay just a dream. On a lighter note, try thinking happier thoughts.
Hm, people often told me that Nightmare have something to do with what you did in the real life. Maybe the nightmare was your fear? Or maybe it had something to do with back-stabbing or losing something or someone dear to you?
Or maybe it's a warning, for you not to act boldly even if you knew the truth?
There's so many possibilities, but since it's a dream, I guess it's nothing to be concern about. I guessed.
