Medications all have side effects. The side effects that Anti D's have change from kind to kind. Weight gain, vivid dreams, no dreams, loss of appetite, issues with sexual drive and libido, ect. Honestly if there is a side effect that isn't working for you-- like these nightmare-- talk to a physiatrist about it. There are several typed of anti D's that you can switch to if your finding the nightmare side effect unbearable.
I found that personally, sleep aids completely killed my ability (is ability even the right word?) to dream at all. I went about two and a half years without dreams. Although, Ive heard that for some people a sleep aid tends to do the opposite. And Im not really sure if you would rather not be talking more pills.
Anyway- whats good is really to talk to your preferred Doc about this sort of stuff. People who have experience in this sort of thing.
Brb drinking a gallon of coffee. Reminds me of a nightmare where I dreamed about being in a time loop and chased by freakin' Samara, only to wake up with sleep paralysis. Fun times.
Have you tried talking to you general doctor (don't know the name for this) about adjusting your diet? Maybe they can recommend something to help you with eating.
In the meantime, you should look into lucid dreaming, if you want. This subreddit has a lot of information on it and different ways to learn this.
My goodness, that's a scary image and a scary dream! : ((( Poor thing! That really sucks...but I can completely relate. I take anti-depressants/anxiety meds. I take Celexa (well, whatever the generic is) daily, and I can say that I've had far more bad dreams than good. And same, I remember them...I remember my dreams 99% of the time! I wouldn't say I've had as violent frightening dreams, but they've always been vivid and not good.
I hope that your new pills don't give you such horrible dreams. : ( As for the eating...that's the opposite of mine. I've gained a lot of weight since going on these pills. I'm hungrier than usual.
