Yeah, so I've heard. I've messed with my query letter quite a few times now, and I haven't even started sending it out yet. (Hours spent on agent blogs reading samples will do that to you.) So if I get shot down by the first couple of agents, I will have to man up and send it to QueryShark for ripping apart.
Pretty long and dream-crushing, but mostly cause I went into it expecting rejection to such a great extent that I assumed rejection was normal (and didn't initially try to change what I was doing in order to get better results). Rejection is normal to a certain extent, of course, but if you have a really compelling query letter, agents will respond. If you're getting absolutely zero indications of interest, it's time to adjust your query letter / think about the market / do more research etc. That's a lesson I took way too long to learn. ^^;;
Well, I'm glad at least ONE of us is making good on our dreams.
Best of luck, little lady. I know you haven't exactly had the best of it lately, but you're at least doing instead of just saying you'll do. Know that I respect the living hell out of that.

That was what I thought, personally. I counted up the months I'd been working on it and screamed, OH MY GOD I HAD A BABY

Also, I'm a little sad no one read the title and didn't immediately take the "OMG UR PRAEGNENT!" route.
Ah well.

So when you were looking for an agent, how long/heartbreaking/dream-crushing was the process, exactly?
